THAT'S the big question? It's THAT answer the people are waiting for? LOL - You crack me up!  Get real - no one cares who I'm backing nor should they.  They should figure out who they think is best by paying attention.  I'm pretty sure I never said the major parties are evil - I said they're broken.  From your post, I'd say you're the angry one, not me...but you're also funny as hell.  Do you ever skip the hyperbole?

I ran with Brian last time, remember?  Why is it you think I don't support him now?  Because he switched to Republican?  I'm still a Republican but labels don't mean as much to me as someone's principles.  I saw you at his fundraiser but you stayed all of about 10 seconds...you must REALLY like him, huh?  I find it particularly amusing how you didn't much like him when he wasn't a Republican but now he's oh so special?  You'd do well to discover some "so-called personal principles."   If the "big question" is the one you asked, it's no wonder the local Republican Party is in the shape it's in.

There were many people who left early to attend important business and speak on his behalf (thry 3 hours of it), Maybe you should have been involving yourself earlier in your adult life and not at 11:45pm, Mike. Maybe Chris T. was one who left early too. Want to take a smack at him as well?

Maybe instead of being Michael-come-lately, and you would understand that there is a tw@thair more to politics than a big middle finger, being an ingrate and non-stop as$kissing of the democrap socialist party. Now I know why of all the NNTP people who ran, you had the major line and STILL LOST! Wow. And for your information I knew BM and liked him before you knew who he was. For your information, Mr Come-lately-and-I'm-the-blogging-expert-in-politics I have been waging a good fight for more years than most of you knew what was going on, and knew where town hall or the county building is. You, as I suspected- are a big fraud who didn't get what you wanted on the first time out and now have an eternal axe to grind. This is why your stupid windmill blog has 7 or 8 readers and why you will never get elected to any office, ever. When you move to the next town, you will find the same story there too. It ain't the town or the party that is broke, it is you. I regret voting for you too.

I tell you what, Mean-face Mike, go fu(k yourself. You are a fake. Go blog.

Now THAT'S a rant - nice work - I knew you had it in you - your buttons are so easy to push. And you consider yourself some sort of grand strategist? I already knew why you and others left nitwit.  Someone once told me you were a jack*ss and I actually defended you but you continue to show your true colors.  By the way, let me congratulate you - your brilliant move to abdicate your county seat to help throw town of rotterdam politics into turmoil did wonders to stem the dreaded "socialist tide" you so fear.  How'd you do with that same major party line?  Oh yeah...you lost too.  Boo-hoo.  The difference is I don't plan to ever run again while you will have to suffer another crushing defeat before you realize you're all done.

And you wonder why I don't want to spend more time with Republican Party leaders?  Get a grip, man.

The political process as we know it today, regardless of party, DOES NOT represent 95% of the American population. The divide between working class red and blue teams is astonishing. It's like cheering for the Yankees/Red Sox without the multi-year, multi-million dollar contract to go with it. You feel connect but really aren't. The actuality of politics, however, is much more dangerous because the actions of those representing the best interest & survival strategy of the party, not individuals members, trickles down and effects us all. Like Obama campaigning on not extending the Bush tax credits for $250k+. My taxes would've went up and I still voted for Obama. Fell for "Hope & Change." Entrust that'll never happen again. Show me what you've done - not what you're going to do.

What was great about Reagan - class warfare and enormous deficit? Amazing not alot of Republicans memorialize Eisenhower.

Locally for some reason, people aspire to be politicians because of the twisted prestige. Lets have a Rotterdam candidate step up to the plate under the pretense he/she will do it for one term. Become a true public SERVANT. Leave nothing on the table. Work every day like a dog and expect nothing in return except a pat on the back and the feeling of accomplishment.

Perfect recipe to keep socialists in power election after election. Form third party lines just for the sake of forming third party lines and you will have democraps socialists in power eternally. Keeping with that attitude, undermining sensibility, and there will be no elections in the future. Get involved in the only major party left that has a semblance of common sense- the republican party. From there, build on the conservative roots of that party and turn it back to the party of Reagan. Running third party candidates "just because" only allows the socialist/communist democraps and copservatives to empower themselves to the point where they will never be unseated.

You are correct...it is like cheerleading at a sporting event. I blame the media for this one. The media has become liberal and conservative ONLY! There is nothing fair and balanced. They use the rhetoric to sell their news for economic purposes only. And the sheople turn in daily to get their 'political fix'! The media has made the people political TV junkies.

Form your own opinions. Become informed. Contact your elected officials. It's just that personal! Get the facts. Listening to cable news and discussing the issues over a beer or at the water cooler will not solve the problems of the world.

Are you suggesting that these independent candidates are investing their own money and time, walking door to door, day after day, jumping into the political snake pit..............'just because'? If you truly believe that, than in all do respect, you are delusional.

This is something the reps should have been doing for years but apparently were too lazy. People just got tired of waiting!

No, Mike just did it because he has an axe to grind with the Republican party as a whole. He wants to keep going for those 11% of voters who are just pissed at everything. Pathway to change that is.

How did doing all that work over at Masullo do for "no new taxes" ????? I don't like paying for it, personally but Mike wanted it and the GOP board and super did it for him. When they didn't run him for office, he was mad. Boohoo. "Down with the republicans!"

Guess what, Mikey, I am not running either...Im a private citizen and Rotterdam taxpayer-  and my support is going to a conservative (small c) Republican first, not a liberal, sour-grapes BS artist talking out of both sides of his mouth who showed up last week. Keep smoking whatever it is bloggers smoke!

When I read your post, I believe you summed yourself up when you did two things: You admitted to voting for Obama, and you said that Reagan's presidency was marked by class warfare and enormous deficits. As to Obama, I can only assume you were filled with the koolaid like the majority of uninformed voters were 3 years ago, and that alone pretty much disqualifies you for any intelligent sign of life; and secondly, you must be very young to remember Reagan as a "class-warrior" and furthermore forget the budgets he put forth every year several trillions of dollars less than what your democrap socialists friends who were running congress wanted. Ultimately the legislative branch controls the power of the purse and there was this guy named Tip O'Neill who ran things in the House. At that time (as you were obviously a small child to remember Regan as a class warrior and spendthrift and only got your education from unionized leftist school teachers) the demcorap di(ksuckers that ran congress were in their second stage of bankrupting America while growing entitlements and trying to CUT DEFENSE and surrender the cold war to the communists (good friends of the democraps ever since the 70's.) So talking to such a convoluted soul who wants to end the republican party and who voted for Obama makes me wonder what your true motive is in coming here to say "END THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM!" Because like all people who want to end the two party system, you have a tell. You only want to end it when republicans have won an election. When democraps socialists run all halls of government from dogcatcher to White House, the two party system seems to be just dandy, because like Mean-Faced Mike O'Connor you really like what the democraps are doing. As evidenced by your vote for Obama the tyrant and for your slander of Reagan, I question your motives and your disposition and I certainly question your patent re-write of history.

And it is OK if you hate me, that is nothing new. I didn't come here to be liked. I came to tell the truth.

And you wonder why I don't want to spend more time with Republican Party leaders?

Mike, no one wants to spend time with you. Despite having the lines, the name of a past judge and town councilwoman in the town (and a good Irish one at that) you marked yourself as a person who never smiled and is not very likable, no matter what belief system you supposedly operate under. I don't know why Tommasone and his people ever kowtowed so much to you, you have all the appeal of Dr. Death, and your "fear" of the national Tea Party (as admitted on this page) shows you are a mini tyrant who doesn't trust the people when they hold a conservative view. You ran a successful self-serving operation to get massive public works projects in your neighborhood, thereby elevating the value of your property, and rallied your neighbors who apparently support you but Outside of the 2 block radius you failed to win support. You told lies to my friends and family members when you went to their houses to get signatures and claimed you were supported by me and others. You come out to claim the two party system is broken when their are republican office holders yet when the democraps (whom you praise) have every seat from the clerk, all council seats, 13/15 legislative seats, the assembly, the senate, governor, both senators, the US House, the US Senate, and the White House you are so silent that we can detect the sound of June Bugs mating in Musullo Estates. Now that the Republicans have the House and may win back seats in town, you come out bashing the concept of the "two party system" again. That is because, Mike- I have your number. You want ONE PARTY RULE. You are for the democraps. People know now.

You are a despicable person for having a thing to say to me for leaving a fundraiser early when I talked until my throat was raw in a meeting to try to bring the GOP to the right by backing McGarry that night. You have lots of nerve, Mister. Lots. And when you see McGarry ask him WHO implored him to be involved and run for office years ago. Ask John Mertz who implored him. Ask them WHO recruited them (and attempted to get them to ) to run for office and who worked to bring back THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM to this town where there was only ONE for 50 years! Oh, I am no grand strategist, I am just a worker for my conservative beliefs in the long term. Not a FLASH IN THE PAN WITH ONE SHOT LIKE MEAN FACE MIKE.
