Cel, don't lose your focus. Perhaps you do have other issues for not wanting GM to continue his rein. But it was a mental illness statement that sparked you and so many others. the straw that broke the camel's back, so to say.

Well GM is a rude, arrogant, self serving dictator!!! His days of belittling the electorate should be over. He displays no compassion or empathy for the overburdened taxpayers. He get his salary and benefits from them for God's sake!!

He didn't have to use the words 'mental illness'. Just his disrespect for a resident was ENOUGH!!! It is time for all schenectadians to nit pick every single word and behavior that spills out of the city council.

This isn't personal Cel......this is POLITICS!!! And the taxpayers are paying for it!! Hold their feet to the fire........speak up............make them accountable.......campaign against them.......vote them OUT!!!

Yeppers it's politics.

That is why we couldn't get support advocating against stigma from an advocacy group that could go forward without worrying about ramifications or involved in any way with the city or state. They had the freedom others didn't.  One member with influence was led astray and didn't want to rock the boat.  They failed misrebly in the advocacy area.

I have a hard time of not taking things personally especially when I have a passion for something. I try hard not to.  I found that straw that broke the camels back for me after such a long time of witnessing repeated poor chairing the meetings for so long.  I don't know too much and don't have much to offer about city business... numbers and figures and contracts and who gets what.  But he threaded on my territory something I do know about that I have a background in. It is so important to me I keep the apples and oranges from mixing though.  My strong point is the MH field so I am trying to stick to it, fighting Stigma.  Does that make any sense?
