DV's comments are tailored in the same fashion as those of McCarthy. High school-like in nature and not pertaining to the topic at hand. For some reason McCarthy can't separate politics from personalities and it shows in his unprofessional manner.

Instead of directing his hostility towards the taxpayers, McCarthy really needs to start treating Schenectady residents like neighbors - with respect. If you don't like the people you represent, chances are we dislike you too.

McCarthy is in deep doo-doo. Just when he was announced as Mayor in waiting he made more idiotic remarks. Every TV station and reporter was present. His timing could not have been worse. This has been known in DEM circles for along time.

Stratton didn't want any competition so good people were forced out of the DEM tent. What is left in the City DEMS is the bottom of the barrel. Retired this-retired that. Zero private sector business/budgeting experience. A bunch of stooges and clapping seals for fiscal incompetence. The door is wide open for Roger Hull or a GOP/CONS candidate. The City DEMS have done enough damage.

Your "work" is typing messages on these boards.    Being up til 3 in the morning, and talking about driving about the city claiming roads haven't seen a plow are clear, and then saying you saw the mayor at a time when he was in Washington (neighor of his that is a very casual acquaintence confirmed he left the day before), being off the boards til early afternoon and then posting again til well after midnight proves you don't work i.e., have a job

First - the Mayor is not "fleeing" the city .. he is getting a promotion in recognition of the good work that he has done.

.

Good job?????      Explain HOW raising taxes on the financially struggling homeowners with household incomes of $30,000 and making them pay the property and school taxes of the millionaires is a good job.

Explain that DV

Explain how making decisions that resulted in a SUBSTANTIAL increase  in crimes in the residential neighborhoods is a good job.
Explain how making decisions that resulted in people fleeing the city in droves is a good job
Explain how making decisions that resulted in no one wanting to buy homes in the city is a good job.

Explain these, DV.

Now, while you're at it, explain if it is proper for a council president should divulge confidential information---gained from his job, information which is private health information under HIPPA---was it proper for McCarthy to say those things at a council meeting.   Can you answer that????????

So anyway, do you think it's proper for an employee of the DA's office to divulge CONFIDENTIAL information about a client to the general public?

Is it OK for the a probable acting mayor to violate federal laws - HIPPA - and give out  private health information to the public live on TV?????

How come you won't answer those questions???????     Is giving out confidential information about a client gained through one job, a sign of good leaderhip in a totally unrelated position?????????

Perhaps we can find someone in a DA's office or other government office give out private information about you.

Where was Pat Z tonight?     Hope she was watching it

I did watch it having just gotten home from the hospital where my daughter gave birth to my 4th grandchild. It was really sweet because this little guy was born not only on Valentine's Day, but on his brother's birthday. His brother was born seven years earlier.

Hi MC1.  I found out something. It could be HIPPA laws weren't violated.  See the following post and those following it.  http://www.rotterdamny.net/m-1298677645/#num7 for the possible reasons why.  Sounds like only a lawyer could really tell in regards to the aspect of it.  In regards to a DA office employee divulging information I bet there are laws about that and if so I hope McCarthy is held accountable but knowing the politics in this city I bet he won't

whom "knowingly" obtain or disclose individually identifiable health information

if he had knowledge from his job and then that knowledge was voiced at a meeting of the public then being in the office/job/licensed as he is....he
should be held to a HIGHER STANDARD as police officers/firemen/doctors/nurses are......but we all know that the legislative legal begals we elect
make the laws and write them so they understand and keep the masses as dumb as possible so that no matter which side of their mouth they speak
they are in the 'right'....

latin/bible should have never been taken out of schools....this is why we are where we are today.....we allow others to do our thinking/legislating for us
the bible should be allowed back, not because of it's religious aspect but the ability to teach the sword of the tongue which is what our elected legal
begals do......

ok,,,,off my soap box......he should be held to a much higher standard......
