ROTTERDAM -- A burning Amtrak train loaded with passengers was stopped in Rotterdam Sunday afternoon.

The train's second engine caught fire and no one was injured, said Dennis Vunk, Carman Fire Department first assistant chief. None of the train's 200 passengers were evacuated when heavy smoke began pouring from the eastbound train at about 3:30 p.m., he said.

Firefighters knocked down the flames with hoses and then finished it off with foam spray as frigid temperatures quickly turned water into ice.

Stranded passengers looked out the windows at a lot full of fire equipment and news photographers.

Vunk said it was too early to determine what caused the fire.

Where abouts?  I thought I heard fire sirens

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

The article (just updated) doesn't state - but if I had to guess from the pictures, either by Highbridge or MAYBE Chrisler, not sure.

Rotterdam District 2 firefighters hose a burning Amtrak engine that was stopped on the tracks near the Altamont Avenue overpass in Rotterdam, N.Y., Sunday, Jan. 9. An Amtrak spokesman said there were no injuries to the 287 passengers or crew on the combined No. 448 and No. 48 train, which was delayed around 4 p.m. Sunday. All passengers stayed onboard.

Looks as though this was over by Chrysler Ave.
