again back to the original post
please state orange or red plow truck that goes by your home or business

i will have to agree with kevin on this red trucks do a much better job -but that could be to various reasons

plowing equipment
condition of road
how the road is treated salt vs sand/salt

i prefer sand vs salt

buck up and learn how to drive

but thank goodness this is not the city of schenectady with outsourced plowing

this is one expense i am willing to pay for - provided the lever of quality is maintained

Having been out and about, I would say that -in general- the roads in the town, the city and the county
were well taken care of.   It wasn't the worst winter snowstorm by any stretch of the imagination and the
road crews did their job well.

Yep, that's why in the city, the streets are "so good" that there are cars buried in the snow, snow NOT pushed back to the curb, right?????   Is it your believe that snow banks are supposed to be left in the middle of the road or are they to be pushed back to the curb?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

it is sad when in an urban area a 4 wheel dive truck/car is necessary, because you can get to the bus stop or to a state or county road

lived on one of the few streets where everyone on the block had off street parking and we relied on each other to one of the major streets

speaking of sidewalks - who's job is it to clear them in rotterdam????

one may b**ch about the high cost of our highway dept but they are trying to keep costs in line

no major force out last night on OT,  looks as if everyone was in on regular hrs today

also watch as fuel hits near $5/gallon as this could mess with the highwy budget in the comming year
