Rotterdam roads are the best plowed roads in the county. They always were! Good job again!

I must personally say that the roads have been much worse this year than other previous years. It appears the condition of the roads deteriorated with the current administration's entrance into office. Maybe they'll be better next winter, after the election.

The Superintendent of Highways is responsible for the condition of town roads -- NOT the Supervisor nor
the Town Board.

So in order to change the condition of the town roads, you need to elect someone else as Superintendent
of Highways.

LOL Bite your tongue DVR NOBODY talks to Kevin March that way.  They make fun of you (DVR) by the busloads but dare say anything about BIGGY Kev and your post gets deleted.  Bunch of two faced gumbas!!  Maybe Biggy Kev should get some much needed exercise by shoveling his own walkway before he starts critisizing snow removal. What a snobby malcontent Biggy Kev is.

Ditto on the plowing.  I live on one of the most rural roads in Rotterdam and it's a dead end to boot.  Plow was down at 5:00 a.m. to open it up much to my delighted surprise. Thanks Highway Department!!

Where are the roads not up to snuff, Kev? I think Jim has always done a good job but I'm sure he would like to know the area you are talking about.

I understand this, but if the Superintentendent of Highways is the same as previous years, and the Supervisor and those in control of things are different, then when there is a difference, I would go to where the change was made.  Before anyone thinks that I am making this a political issue, I would like to let all of you know that I live on a COUNTY road, and also a very important road for emergency personnel to respond to any incident which might occur in town.  I live on Princetown Road.  This is a road that the Superintendent of Highways has no control over, as the town does not plow this road, the county does.

I've taken my share from people who disagree with me.  I don't need anybody speaking up for me.  I can handle that myself.  As far as making fun of my size, you must be in grade school, as that is when I was first dealing with those types of issues, and as far as some other people go on this site, you don't know my personal situation, so stay out of it.  There have been other slanderous things that have been said about me on this site before, and while they may have upset me, I have never asked, nor will I ever ask, for any post to be changed or removed.  I have my right to say what I want, you have your right to say what you want. I may be wrong, and I would be willing to admit it, would you?

Tell you what, when you need to call for any emergency services and they state that they're having issues, don't come to me and complain.  I only say what I see.  I don't say it because it's my street, I say it because it's a very busy street in the town and has vital resources that must be able to respond in a timely manner to any issue anywhere in town.

...and at least I'm willing to admit who I am.

The road was better by the time I got home, but I also think that since school is out this week, even though the road contains the police station and the ambulance garage, it wasn't as important to get it done, since they didn't have to worry about school buses coming through, and as I said in a previous post, it's not Mr. Longo's job to take care of this road, and I don't know who the one is in charge at the county level, but maybe that's something I should check into for future storms.
