Check out the sign out front or better still ask Mr. Buicko  ... they call it the Rotterdam Corporate Park

and Google still calls the driveway to a former farm  Ghents Road when the real Ghents road was over 1,000
feet away and has been renamed for over a year ... and has a lot of other mistakes in
their maps and listings

I think DVR should do a column dedicated to food reviews!

There are multiple uses of the property owned by Galesi, but clearly it is zoned industrial so anything could happen there.  Wouldn't want to live so close to something like that which is why continued housing along that route didn't make sense.  Just because they government located people there doesn't mean it was a good place to live.  

Just like "Smellington Gardens".  Everyone wants to live next to a wastewater treatment plant, right?

I hope residents still remember to patronage the locally-owned restaurants in town.  We are lucky to have them.

The  FACT remains that the property has been renamed the Rotterdam CORPORATE Park by its owners ...
a FACT that even Mr. Buicko reminded the town board of last spring .

I will continue to support locally owned restaurants .. including the Recovery Room .. and invite everyone to
do the same.    Also, there are some restaurants and food establishments outside Rotterdam that are
owned by Rotterdam residents .. don't forget them, too.

As for writing a food column, I would consider it  .. if the right newspaper were to ask me.

Rotterdam has some fine 'local' eateries. If we want to go to a chain eatery, we go to wolf road!

Can you tell us WHY you support elimination of taxes on the rich and increasing taxes on the middle income and less???????    Can you ever answer a direction question about taxes?

You favor elected reps getting benes in return to political favors made by them by stealing from the taxpayers.  Can you tell us when the taxpayers who do the work get the same?

I see the he-she dancing monkey is at it again.   I hope they don't let dancing monkeys in
the Recovery Room.

My top 10 list of great restaurants would not include any "chain restaurants".  in fact, my favorite place of
all .. is not technically a restaurant .. it is a very small market in South Carolina that sells take out food.
The older lady prepares a variety of truly Down Home Southern favorites.   The only problem with that place
is that it is so popular ... that if you don't buy your items for supper  BEFORE lunch -- you will miss out
altogether.   That is because she only makes a limited amount each day and when it sells out .. you have
to wait until the next day.

I won't give out the markets name or location .. for 2 reasons ... I don't want to see the place crowded by
some less than desirable folks  and, well, I can't reveal the location of the place that I will eventually move
to.

Well we can't actually build a drive-in IN the park .. but near it --- there are some possible locations for
a drive-in restaurant in the Junction.    It wouldn't necessarily have to be a chain restaurant.

oh .. when I say we .. I mean whoever wants to build the drive in restaurant ... I have my eye on a property
in the junction for a retail venture.
