Maybe someday the taxpayers can share in the "blessings". Albany leaders did not give away the store like Metrograft did screwing the County taxpayers.

As far as Brown Derby-very overpriced with no parking. But a great gin mill! If only we had a watering hole like that Downtown. For better food go across the street to Angelo's 677 Prime.

Brown Derby is more than just a bar .. its main business is serving food.

Brown Derby--ok and way over-priced.  You must not get out much if you think their food is all that great.  The IA Centger food took a nose dive when they took it over.  The daughter is alos related to folks in the restuarant business in Lake George.  If you want excellent Italian food I recomment Tesoro's in Guilderland or Katrinella's

I get out often enough .. thank you.   Wasn't thrilled with Tesoro's ...  and, quite frankly, I rarely eat Italian
food out .... I can cook it much better at home.

Sounds like you have something against the Mallozzi's personally --- all their food is great and the service
is impeccable,

The BEST  Italian restaurant is the  Trattorio Rustica in Pittsfield, MA.    At certain times of the year, they
offer roast wild boar on the menu ...   that is definitely  "to die for".

Oh, was it a party for the dem party mouthpieces and cronies?

Go figure.  Taxpayers foot the bill for Mallozzi's and the dems go have a party there.

"take care of us, we'll take care of you."   BUT SCREW THE TAXPAYERS...right DV?????????

The food at Mallozzi's is great and Mr. and Mrs. Del Gallo put on a nice Christmas Party.  There certainly was
a wide variety of foods  ..   and I enjoyed eating a little bit of this  and a little bit of that.  I particulary enjoy
the various ways that the Mallozzi's prepared calamari .. and I love their eggplant rollatini.   I skipped the
desserts and the pasta -- sorry .. but I am on a low carb diet.
There were two cheeses on the cheese display that were very good .. but that I wasn't familiar with .. of
course the blue cheese was excellent.

The best part of the whole evening was the wonderful conversations with various people present.

Speaking of the them someone should investigate the way they screwed the sheeple on Christmas Eve at Villa. Over an hour to pick up paid baked items! In the hope they leave and do not have to produce.

Get your Christmas baked goods at Bella Napoli, Mt Pleasant Bakery-or better yet in Bensonhurst. The sheeple were getting hot waiting in endless lines.

You could add  Foods and Frostings at 15 Glenridge Road in Glenville to your list.    It is owned by
a nice young couple from Rotterdam.   They have baked goods (all made on the premises) and they
also sell food  (eat in or to go).

That is an absurd statement.  I'm home for the holiday. went down to pick-up prepaid, as you say, and was given my order in less than 15 mins! There was no one in line grumbling at all.  They wre definately busy and lots of people had orders.  I'm sure as the line grew, so did the wait time.

I have to admit --- except for some items that I bought at Foods and Frostings -- the other
baked goods are all homemade -- by a very nice Polish lady who is a friend of the families.
Her babka is better than ANY you could buy at any bakery.

Buon Natale! With the closure of White Eagle there is a huge void for traditional Eastern European baked goods.

Joe Boxer needs to get a new watch. 15 minutes? Maybe to find a parking spot. At Noon the line stretched the length of the store. Not all of us have the entire day off or an hour to pick up baked goods,

The truth is.....people will wait for an hour for villa italia baked goods. They are without a doubt, a consistently excellent product. For $13 per pound for cookies....they should be.

And since there were people lined up outside the building is yet more proof that they are more than capable of paying their fair share of taxes. They deservingly are making good money for a superior product....they can surely pay their taxes......no?

Took 10 mins to park, I will give you that, but Benny you need to get real.  If line is out the door (which it wasn't when I went earlier), then it stands to reason that your wait is going to be pretty long.  How does that equate to Villa intentionally doing it in hopes people will leave and they don't have to produce?  That's why I said it's an absurd statement!!!   HAVE A NICE HOLIDAY !

It is interesting --- some folks claim that NO ONE goes downtown to patronize the shops there --
but NOW suddenly ...   these same businesses are being accused of purposely having
long lines of customers.        Imagine that --- downtown businesses who supposedly have no business
are hiring lines of people to act as customers to keep real customers waiting a long tim eto pick up
their orders.

What will the Nattering Nayboobs of Negativity come up with next.
