Gagné earns Eagle Scout rank

    Brian Gagné, 18, son of Nicole and Richard Gagné of Mercer Avenue in Rotterdam, recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop 101, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rexford.
    For his Eagle Project, he led and organized fellow Scouts in the renovation of a large upstairs room at the Rotterdam Senior Citizens Center. This included resurfacing and painting walls and trim and making the room more inviting.
    Gagné graduated from Mohonasen High School and is currently attending Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, where he is studying computer science. He plans to work in robotics.
    He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in which he has held leadership positions and graduated from the church’s youth seminary program. He intends to serve a two-year mission for the church.

     Congratulations to the Gagné family.  That is qute an accomplishment to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.  Wishing Brian continued success with his studies and future endeavors.
