It's morning in Rotterdam again ... a bright sun shining on the new horizon ...  why would we want to go
back to where we were 4 years ago ???     It's morning in Rotterdam again  ... let's roll up our sleeves and
work together to lead our town to new horizons.

You must of had a pitcher full of Koolaid to start it off, apparently!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Now "their" whole attitude is gonna be "let's roll up our sleeves and work together".  Funny, locally and nationally, dems have 100% failed to listen to anything the "minority" had to say.  We've been called "whiners", "losers" and every name in the book - but now "let's hold hands and work together"

DVR can crow all he wants. In a Election Day shocker Frank Salamone got more votes on the REP Line than Wayne did on the DEM. No one predicted that. If FS had one third party line he would have won.

This does not bode well for the Rotterdam DEMS next year. Now with the DEMS in control of every seat-like Nisky and the City- they better roll up their sleeves and accomplish something besides raising taxes and hiring out of County residents.

No, I hope they think it is a full stamp of approval to how they are acting. It is a MANDATE.

The election is over  ... we need to park our partisan hats for at least the next 6 months and work
together to address the issues in front of our town.

Hats off to both Mr. Calder and Mr. Salamone for stepping forward to run for Town Board.  Both worked
very hard and I am sure that we will be hearing a lot from both men in the months and years ahead.

Yes, you have a mandate, and there are no Republicans at all. So don't try that "ohhhh we couldn't do your work because the republicans won't cooperate" crap. THERE ARE NO REPUBLICANS in ROTTERDAM except the judge and highway super! Its all you, baby!

Well --I would say that we have the majority -- given Mr. Salamone's strong showing .. I would hesitate
to call it a mandate.     In fact,  I will take the risk publicly and say that the voters have sent us a
message ... speaking for myself -- I am cognizant that we got sent a message.    There is a LOT of work
to do.   There is no denying that.

They sent a message alright. One party rule will not last in this town. You have every seat on the Town Bored--until next November. Frank Salamone shocked the so-called "experts". He ran an intelligent campaign and was not throwing up political signs on every anthill. Both Frank and Joe will have great political careers. Underestimate them at your peril.

Very impressive showing for a first time candidate with a fractured party unable to do anything. Another big winner last night was Brian M. The REPS and real CONS have a deep bench in Rotterdam. Enjoy it while it lasts--DVR because it never does.

I never underestimate anyone ... especially political opponents.

We have a deep bench, too.

Who Diane Marco? She can do to Rotterdam what she did to Schenectady-lol.

You better put out an APB for a new Supervisor. Start looking for some expenses to cut and not pad. I have the names of 3 REP/real CONS ready to roll.

I for one am in mourning for Frank's loss and the town board seat.  Frank would have and still will make a nice councilman.

We Democrats have a deep bench of potential candidates for ALL town-wide offices.

Ron, Ron and Ron. In his case it isn't a bench, it is a couch.

The election season is over ...  "morning in Rotterdam" suggests that just like the dawn of a new day ...
NOW is the time and the opportunity to get some things accomplished.    By reaching out to EVERY resident
regardless of party affiliation, beliefs, income, occupation, or any other "identifying tag"   ......

I am optimistic that Rotterdam can reach new horizons .. can accomplish good things  .. even great things.
