Rotterdam Democrats helped score wins for  3 of the 3 county-wide races ... Clerk, Family Court Judge and
Surrogate Court Judge.     We gave a majority of the town votes to Governor-elect Cuomo, Senators Gillibrand and Schumer, and Congressman Tonko.

And ...  most importantly ... we elected Wayne Calder to the Town Board.

Great WORK Rotterdam Democrats  and our friends from the Conservative Party, Independence Party, Working
Families Party,  non-aligned voters and those GOPers who voted with our candidates.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

Just to clarify Rotterdam dems, didn't get a Town Board seat elected, the third parties loyal to the ruling party got him elected. Salamone won on Repub to Dem votes!

Same can be said when Ang won the County Leg seat.  Bob Godlewski beat Ang straight up Dem to Rep. What's your point?

At the end of the day   he or she with the most votes  HAS WON THE ELECTION ........   and the glory of
victory lasts about  ---- 72 hours ---- then you have to roll up your sleeves and work together to accomplish
something.

And I am certain that we will work together to accomplish some good things and some great things in the
months ahead.

What a crock from DVR. The big news is that Frank Salamone ran a great campaign and beat Wayne DEM to REP. Everyone is talking about Frank Salamone not Wayne who almost lost with every third party line. This is an attempt to put a happy face on Wayne's pathetic showing. If Frank had another line- which he will next time-he would have won.

BTW, big wins by Woodward and Clark! Of course its hard to lose when the other party waves a white flag. But the voters are not fooled. Even with all the eyesore signs a massive write-in campaigns was launched to prevent them from getting 100% of the vote. Have fun counting all the write-ins. Note to DEMS-This is not Cuba. If the other party implodes something else will replace them.

Put the pipe down Benny.  Is Frank Salamone going to have the luxury next year of the State Consevative Party imploring people to vote the line for fear of extinction?  Is Frank Salamone going to have the benefit of County and Statewide elections as a coat tail?  You are somewhat of a "goofball wannabe political insider" with your ignorant and irrational posts and rants.

Wayne Calder beat Joe Salamone by over 1,000 votes and you want us to believe (Joe) ran a great campaign?  Huh??  A great campaign doesn't lose an election by over 1,000 votes in the annals of Rotterdam Politics.  Stick that stupid fork in your ignorant and "goofball" arse.  And stick to the Schenectady blog where you belong.  You offer nothing but ingnorant rants when it comes to Rotterdam politics.  PISSANT!!

You prove your total ignorance. The CONS Party needed votes for Gov only {where they moved up a line} not Town Bored. It's not "voting the line"-moron-its voting for Governor only. Rasputin doesn't no political A,B,C's.

FS had a fractured party and still beat Wayne REP to DEM. There's no getting around that. Wayne should have won 2 to 1. And everyone is noticing it. He is weak. Good thing he was the real CONS in the race and got that line-lol-

Mr. Rasputin not sure just who you are calling "Goofy."  The end result is what matters.  Calder won.  Not important how he got there and who he is beholden to--it's over.

It's Mrs. Rasputin and you are not the goofy I was referring to but enough with "Is Buchanan still leading you guys."  Tom is our leader through good times and bad.  As for end results....Benny should stick his forks in Schenectady City politics not Rotterdam.  IMHO!

Well Mrs. Rasputin--You need a new leader.  I keep asking the question because you keep going down the tubes.  He cannot field a candidate.  He's lost his edge.  His reputation sucks.  You need to change coaches.  You know the saying, "fool me once shame on you.  Fool me twice shame on me."  The Reps want respect--you need somebody who knows how to get you back to a better place.  What kind of kool aid is he given you to drink?

End the end of the day --- the Rotterdam Dems held back the so-called Republican-Tea Party Tsunami.

Most of the candidates that we endorsed   (to be specific 11 out of 13 - or 84.6%) won their races ... so I would
say we were quite effective.
