“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan
Latest polling shows that Gibson is UP over Murphy .. but still within the margin of error.

QUEENSBURY — The two congressional candidates spent over an hour disagreeing, politely, over whether to extend all or some of the Bush-era tax cuts or repeal legislation restructuring health care.
But in the last minute of a candidates’ forum Tuesday night at Queensbury High School, Rep. Scott Murphy turned toward his Republican challenger, Chris Gibson, to call him a “flip-flopper” who “lied.”
“I hope you will take responsible for some of the other things you’ve been saying that aren’t true,” he said, noting Gibson’s reversal on a bill designed to expand lending and encourage investment by small businesses. The Gibson campaign issued a press release opposing the bill, but Gibson said last week in a meeting with the Poughkeepsie Journal that he supported it. Murphy was also upset about campaign mail Gibson sent associating Murphy with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a liberal Democrat, and misinformation about how much money the Gibson campaign reported in its bank account in July.
This is the first poll to show Chris Gibson ahead. It was taken before incumbent Scott Murphy's meltdown at last nights debate. Murphy was booed off the stage. It looks like Chris Gibson has the momentum and the voters are finally focusing on Murphy's support of Pelosi and horrible Obamacare.
Last year the Tea Party distributed thousands of door hangers showing Murphy's voting record by walking door to door, and he blamed it on the John Birch Society
Last night, Murphy blamed Chris Gibson's campaign for distributing what we call a "report card", which is nothing more than a fact based record of Murphy's voting record and how much each vote cost the taxpayers
Gibson's campaign had nothing to do with that. It was the Campaign For Liberty who did this
They people booed Murphy over the obamacare issue!! I think it will be all downhill for Murphy now. Even the liberal socialist media is siding with Gibson. They have been surprisingly kind to him!

I happen to agree with you. Knowing the political leanings of that district -- Murphy made a huge mistake by first saying he was opposed to and voting against the Health Care Bill .. and then when the second vote came he voted for it. Worse -- he claimed that he had read the bill and nothing in it hurt his district .. only to find out later about the new tax on medical equipment manufacturers --- of which a few are located in his district.
He only won by 85 votes --- and that was in large part to his carrying Warren County --- Warren County has never voted FOR a Democrat to go to Congress ... not even in an election year like 1932. The big reason that Warren County went for Murphy the last time was because his wife is related to State Senator Betty Little and Betty Little was pissed at Jim Tedisco getting the GOP nomination. As I mentioned previously, Murphy's wife Jennifer Hogan Murphy was a student of mine 25 years ago. I also taught 3 of Mrs. Little's children and got to know her. 2 things that I know about Betty Little --- she is extremely popular and influential in Warren County and she is NOT a person that you want to have pissed of at you.

Oct 18th: A Grove Insight poll released by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Oct. 4 showed Murphy enjoying a 13-point lead. A Public Opinion Strategies poll released by Gibson’s campaign the same day showed Murphy four points ahead.

I have heard reports that of several "inside polls" -- some show Murphy up .. some show Gibson up -- all within the margin of error.
