Police seek
woman in theft
of credit card
    ROTTERDAM — Police are seeking a woman suspected of stealing a credit and debit card from a shopper at the Price Chopper on Altamont Avenue last week.
    Investigators said the woman stole a purse from the shopper's cart around 11:45. She then took the purse to the store's ladies room, removed the cards and exited the building, leaving the purse behind.
    The woman then used the stolen credit card to purchase several hundred dollars worth of gift cards from Price Chopper. She used the cards again at the Hess gas station and Hannaford Supermarket on Altamont Avenue.
    Anyone with information concerning the identity of this suspect is asked to call the Rotterdam detectives at 355-7397.
