I was wondering which Dunkin' Donuts, but I'll figure it was the one by 5 Corners, since the arrest was by Rotterdam Police?

He wandered up the hill in the getaway car - and from what I've been told, was caught on Helderberg Avenue shortly after

OK, so it's Schenectady crime spilling into Rotterdam... again.  And we want to put the police forces together? No thanks, our is expensive enough without theirs.

ROTTERDAM
Police arrest suspect in holdup at Dunkin’ Donuts

BY MARCY VELTE Gazette Reporter

Police arrested a Schenectady man and charged him with robbing a Dunkin’ Donuts store on Broadway on Sunday.
Lt. Mike Brown of the Rotterdam Police Department said Kevin Cousin of Schenectady entered the Dunkin’ Donuts at 3045 Broadway at 5:50 p.m. Sunday and demanded all of the money in the register.
Cousin, wearing a bandanna, sunglasses and black hooded sweatshirt, placed a tan bag on the counter and told a store employee to open the register and put the money in the bag, police said. When the workers behind the counter hesitated, the man came around the counter, police said.
The employee opened the register and Cousin allegedly placed the money in the bag himself and fl ed.
The man did not have a weapon and no one was hurt, police said, but the suspect suggested he did have a weapon on him.
The alleged robber left the scene on foot toward Cox Avenue and was picked up in a gray, 2005 Ford 500 vehicle. Two women and a man were seen in the car with the suspect.
A second man seen in the car was found walking on Curry Road and was being questioned as part of the investigation.
Police first received news of the robbery from a resident who was able to describe the people in the car and get a plate number. The call from the donut shop’s employees came a few minutes later.
The car was pulled over in Schenectady on the corner of Brandywine and Odell Street with the two women and Cousin inside, police said. ................>>>>.................>>>>.............http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01102&AppName=1

This is too bad! And I agree....keep rotterdam's police force right where it is. Keep all town police force right where they are. Incidents like this in rotterdam are slowly but progressively becoming more frequent.

Actually, it shows that Rotterdam Police are very efficient and effective at capturing criminals.  Working
together works -- Rotterdam PD assisting Schenectady PD in taking another criminal off the street.
Great work  Rotterdam PD -- once again you have made us proud

I seem to remember Office Zophy (a schenectady officer) sitting on Hamburg St - pulled someone over for drunk driving.  Problem is, he, and the driver, were both in Rotterdam when it happened. Zophy was reprimanded and the driver walked away.
