In the latest poll {9/22} former REP Congressman Joe DioGuardi finished effectively even with Paterson pick Kristen Gillenbrand for US Senate! This is a huge gain in support for Joe since his huge GOP primary victory. Joe DioGuardi will be on both the REP and CONS lines. Gillenbrand leads DioGuardi only 45-44% which is within the sampling error. Another indication of how poor ultra liberal candidates that supported horrible Obamacare will fare this November.

The incumbent leads only in New York City. Joe DioGuardi has a huge lead in the suburbs, Western NY and Upstate. If the trends continue NY will once again have a Conservative Senator. We don't need Schumer's echo.

Mr. DioGuardi was in Rotterdam last Spring.  He seemed - to me- to be a genuinely nice
guy.  Very concerned about the overspending of Congress (from both sides).

This is not an endorsement of him - just my personal impression from listening to him
speak and then meeting him.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

Voters have a clear choice. Joe DioGuardi who is a CPA and fiscal CONS-or the incumbent who Gov Paterson picked over screams from fellow DEMS. Yes, a nice guy but also more qualified.

I am not prepared to say that he is more or less qualified -- but he is a nice guy.

Anyone is more qualified than Paterson pick, former HUD employee, Ms. Gillenbrand. She voted for horrible Obamacare, flipped on 2nd amendment rights and has followed the whole pathetic Pelosi/Reid agenda. She must go.

I would prefer to have someone from upstate New York representing us --  we need at least 1
state-wide elected person who comes from north of the Tappan Zee Bridge.

being a CPA doesn't always equate to good $$ handling....especially if one is on the payola.....

Well since Gillibrand is the ONLY upstate candidate running for the US Senate .. I would have
to vote for her  IF  having someone from upstate was my prime concern.

But she doesn't represent upstate concerns and/or issues. She is a downstate gal and does follow Up Chucks direction! She is the typical liberal socialist dem who campaigns on the Fluff Stuff and loves that tax and spend!! She clearly does not represent upstate new york!!!

That's so true, Gillibrand does not have the same values as upstate NY and is a lot more liberal than she would like you to know.

Voting for Gillenbrand because she is an "Upstater"-lol-Talk about weak borsht. She's from Manhattan who carpetbagged to Hudson only to run for Congress. As soon as see got to the Senate {selected by pathetic Paterson over howls from other DEMS} she immediately changes all her core beliefs. Expect on life where she's always been pro-abortion.

We have a real leader in Joe DioGuardi. A CPA, fiscal Conservative, pro-life, pro-Second Amendment. Our Senators have been the laughingstock of the Nation. This is our chance to remove a horrible Obama/Reid puppet.
