I tempted to take a drive over there to see! I'm really glad we were able to back out of that house!!!!

By the time you posted this, this morning, the water had receded.  There were a few cones still sitting around, but the road in the area was visible and drivable.

I just saw the photo of the flooded road.

Obviously DV prefers that tax money goes for another gin mill rather than tax money be used to eliminate this bad infrastructure issues

But they DID fix up the eyesore across from Mallozzis with taxpayer money courtesy of the IDA (which Mallozzi is president of) So dont worry Sunrise BLVD residents- the town leaders feel your pain. Really, they do.

It was a great little house. Im glad that I came on here to ask. I actually found this website trying to research the flooding issues. I wish the new owners well. Hopefully they will never have a problem.

On another note. We FINALLY close on our house tomorrow! We've been in Rotterdam for 9 yrs. And will finally be homeowners. Its been a long bumpy road, but we have worked hard and are incredibly grateful to be able to buy our own home.  It's very exciting!

I thought the search for a home was bad, closing was so nerve-racking.

Checks trading hands, millions  of papers to sign, initial - and they expect you to actually know and understand EVERY detail of what you're signing (when it's written in language that ONLY a lawyer could understand) - but the end result is SOOO satisfying, and you'll feel GREAT (well, till you get the tax/mortgage bill)

Congratulations - and welcome to Rotterdam!
