All the people that take the bus there have extra expendable income because they don't have to maintain a car.

Rotterdam Square Mall is flourishing.  Does Metroplex give money to businesses that want to rent space at the mall?

I think Jimmy C. had that built just to attract school aged children.  It may have been a wet dream of his.

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.
~ H. L. Mencken

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

Rotterdam Square Mall isn't empty nor is it "booming"  -- the fact is that it is long overdue for a major
makeover.

It needs to have some strong anchor stores.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

a.) This forum is FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR too negative....

b.) Re-Vitalize hamburg Street.... and Do Something with the Grand Union Building....

c.) Re-Vitalize the Hannaford plaza:

d.) Attract Big Business or national companies to Rotterdam other Than "Another pizza place"

e.) Clean up some of the Abandoned houses in the town

All great ideas.

Rotterdam doesn't have the money to do all the things to help make the town a better place, just look at the budget for the town and see where all the tax money goes.

Your word 'negative' should be realistically replaced with 'cautious'. And although your ideas and insight have been historically repeated..........be careful what you wish for.

Someone smarter than I suggested making rotterdam the 'county seat'! Just think.....rotterdam could then be the home of the dss building (hot dog vender too), unemployment office and all the other county buildings. There is plenty of room on rt 7 in rotterdam and on hamburg street. Even the curry road plaza beast could be utilized!

This makes as make sense as most of this thread. Apparently the answer is more socialism! "Revitalize" this and that with your money. Maybe if the RIDA didn't blow it on another gin mill they could actually help the industrial park? The sheeple better wake up cause another pizzeria and County Home be coming!

Hey Benny - I hear 4Corners is looking to buy the Shoporama pizza shop, but - hmm, can't quite complete the "deal".  Any insight?

Just a note -- the "industrial park" is NOT called that anymore .. hasn't been for years ... It is the
Rotterdam Corporate Park  ---- it is time for some who post here to stop living in the past and
LEARN about the progress that has been made since the internal combustion engine was first invented and
start living in the 21st Century.
