Amedore continues bid to retain Assembly seat

Clark secures County Family Court Judge

Parisi challenged the GOP incumbent Amedore during the primaries, but voters choose to keep their current representative of the New York State 105th Assembly District for the general election.

“I very much appreciate and look forward to continuing to serve them all the way through November,” said Amedore. “I’m not a career politician as my opponent tried to paint me as … the people’s message is resonating.”

The unofficial primary election results as of election night are Amedore receiving 1,545 votes and Parisi receiving 827 votes, with 93 percent of districts reporting.

Amedore said people want government “off their back and out of their pockets,” so they can afford the way of life people deserve and want to live.

“I think tonight was a very strong showing in a primary that typically the turnout may not be very high, well, I think it was a little higher or average, but our supporters are very much behind us and my campaign to carry us through November.”

Besides now attaining the Republican ticket, he’s also obtained the Conservative and Independent nomination.

Parisi thought obtaining around a third of the votes was significant considering the short primary election cycle.

“I think having gone from 2 percent to a result of 35 percent is a pretty good result,” said Parisi. “It is a short election cycle … after labor day you have about a week and half to get your message out.”

Paris also stood by his message that Albany still needs to change to serve the public better.

Tracy, you're funny!  Didn't you support Mertz when he and Parisi were causing a civil war in the party?  Then attack Amedore because you thought he supported the no tax group, but wait, did you praise the no tax guys as having "strength and courage to challenge the current administration and give people another choice"?

You are as self-serving a phoney as Parisi and Salamone.  I can tell you that this Rep will not support FS or any other Parisi puppet.  Did they make you chairperson yet?

BT, you should be ashamed of yourself promoting Parisi for a judgeship, he clearly lacks the character to fill such a spot.  Same to you Salami!  I know you are desperate to put up challengers for these races, but should we stoop so low?

Spidey, lantern, and the rest of your names, you really think you did that well?  Seems to me you were given a complete pass on character issues or your/Tommasone liberal spending record.  Amedore might have passed on bringing that to the public front but stayin politics and your life will certainly be placed under a microscope.

Boy are you right. How about the REP "leader" who is still "leading" after dropping from 8 seats to 2 in the County Leg? The fact GP couldn't get 900 votes in 2 Counties says it all.

You mean to tell me the rumor is Parisi beat GA in Rotterdam?  And if so 50% of the REP turnout of 15% voted for GP?  And that would somehow mean that the GOP Primary voters are going to support a candidate who switched parties?  And these loyal GOP primary voters are going to cast a vote for the DEMS?  Why then I would say YIPPEEE!!!!!

He couldn't win one district-even his home district? What about Montgomery County? lol. GA mopped the floor with his opponent. Same as he will do in November. ANG is in trouble -he has no support. DEMS thinks he's a REP and vice versa. Good luck on the WTF line.

The Dems put Niki in and the Dems can vote her out.  IMHO she was a poor choice to begin with.
