Democratic Congressional leader David Obey {WI-7} head of the powerful House Appropriations Committee has announced he will not seek re-election. He faced a strong challenge from REP Sean Duffy, a former MTV Real World contestant.

This district was rated "leans Democratic" reflecting the uphill battle that Obey would have had if he sought re-election. REP leaders have announced plans to pick up 100 House seats. No word on a challenger for Paul Tonko.

Sounds like a few over here. Is Obamacare Tonko really going to run unopposed?

After Law Day at the Elks I ran into a very old very Republican friend yesterday who is "high" up in the party.   I asked him how this could be that no one would challenge Tonko.  He said the party is a mess.

This is old news. They lose everything in Nisky/Rotterdam/The City, 28 people show up at the Reagan Dinner and nothing changes. The people "high" up in the REPS should be ashamed that they let this continue for so long.
