The soccer fields are on school district property ... political signs should never have been up on school district property.

Then will you go and take it down? Or did you already? As I read the law, it is not my job to enforce the law. Town Code, Section 270.151.1.C

Also, per section H, it doesn't appear that I am "empowered to take it down, and I may be actually taking someone's private property that they placed outside accordance with the law.

The Town Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer, Zoning Officer and all police officers are empowered to remove any sign which is erected or placed in violation of the provisions of this section and to dispose of the sign in any appropriate manner, including trashing. Removal shall be without the necessity of prior notice to the candidate or anyone else.

the police officers are far tooooooo busy to get out of their cars in winter to take down a sign - just look around rotterdam signs as far as the eye can see
and the building insdpectors are working on all the new building projects |

I thought you had said that the sign was by the entrance to the Soccer fields - so I assumed you met on the school district property. And -actually - since you are the one bothered by the sign ... it really is up to you to do something about it, I didn't put the sign up and am not really bothered if it stays up. |
