There are many people who support candidates but HATE signs. And yes it is true....signs don't vote!!! Ban the stupid things!

Did Kosiur's signs work for him???

Let's just say .. some of us are still waiting to get those signs.   We would have put them up  if we
had gotten them.

Signs don't vote ... but , if you do buy signs ... they work a lot better on the front lawns of supporters
than they do in someone's garage or trunk.

“And yet our opponents tell us not to interfere with abortion. They tell us not to impose our morality on those who wish to allow or participate in the taking of the life of infants before birth. Yet no one calls it imposing morality to prohibit the taking of life after a child is born. We’re told about a woman’s right to control her own body. But doesn’t the unborn child have a higher right, and that is to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” – Ronald Reagan

Mr and Mrs Santabarbara are upstanding citizens  ... didn't do anything wrong -- even the judge said so.

I will believe the judge before I believe any post from the Perpetual Negativity Choir

That's funny...your Party didn't seem to think so when Ang was running for the Legislature as a Republican...until they needed the
Italian vote for the Savage Beast.

And by the way Ron, nobody cares what you believe in your own little world.

Apparently you do care what I think .. because you feel so threatened by my presence on the blog
that you have to attack me and my family personally.

As for Mr. and Mrs. Santabarbara  ( I didn't meet her until this past Spring),  I have never said
anything negative about them when he was running for the County Legislature.   I met him a few
times AFTER he was elected and he was always friendly to me -- and I to him.
As for what other members of my party think or do not think ... that is really their business .. I don't
tell them what to think .. they don't tell me what to think ... and we work together just fine.

October 20, 2010  For Immediate Release:

Fair Campaign Practices for the Capital Region, Inc. found George Amedore, Jr, candidate for the 105th NYS Assembly District, to have committed an unfair campaign practice by issuing a press release with allegations he brought unsuccessfully, in a court case against the nominating petitions filed by Angelo Santabarbara for the Change Albany Now line.

Mr. Amedore charged that many of the signatures on Mr. Santabarbara’s nominating petitions were fraudulently obtained. NYS Supreme Court Judge Roger D. McDonough, issued a ruling in the case September 21, dismissing it and stating: “The court finds that there has been no showing here that either Santabarbara or his agents participated in any fraud in the collection or submission of the relevant signatures”  A press release issued by Friends of Amedore on September 23 included the following quotation, clearly referring to Mr. Santabarbara and the petitions he had submitted: “There are enough dishonest politicians in Albany and the taxpayers do not need another who is willing to bend the rules to further their careers.”

Fair Campaign Practices for the Capital Region, Inc. found this to be a violation of its Principle 2, “The candidate will not engage in, permit or condone unfair or misleading attacks on the character of an opponent.”

Mr. Santabarbara had also complained that the same press release quoted a dissenting opinion of an earlier court case as a “decision of the court”  in violation of Principle 4: “The candidate will not use…any campaign material that misrepresents, distorts, or otherwise falsifies a fact… regarding either the candidate or an opponent.”  The press release does not misrepresent Mr. Santabarbara and so there is no violation of Principle # 4. The panel noted that the press release is misleading, since it uses a wrong standard of law by citing a dissenting opinion as a “decision of the court”.

The hearing panel, meeting October 19, consisted of Michael Foster, Beverly LaBarge, Stephen Muller, Faith Weldon, panel Chair Katherine Henrikson and Coordinator Barbara Thomas.

Fair Campaign Practices for the Capital Region, Inc. was established to promote a climate of fair, open, and honest campaigns; encourage candidates to discuss the issues; encourage candidates to refrain from defamatory attacks on opponents; discourage use of campaign materials that distort facts; and expand the political debate by more fully informing the electorate about the use of unfair campaign practices. Information on FCP can be obtained at  http://faircampaignpractices.wordpress.com/.  Reverend Mick Drown, President can be contacted at 424-8787.

I have heard the same.   Apparently some recent polling (in NYS) shows that moderate Republicans and so
called "blanks" or registered voters who don't belong to a specific party  .. are not that thrilled with the
GOP/"tea party" candidates and their support is moving towards the Democratic candidates.

Let's talk about ISSUES that actually affect our community and our wallets - then we'll pay attention.

Till then, it's really not important.

I'd rather talk about the "horse race" aspect of the race -- more interesting -- since I already know who
I am voting for and why.

...yeah, the same ones who vote democrap in every election! You can call yourself whatever you want but if you behave a certain way, it actually defines you in reality. We know reality is not in the lexicon for most liberals. In my years I have known many people who called themselves Republicans, or conservatives, yet every election backed democraps and even far, far, far leftists like Tonko. but when they were 18 they enrolled GOP for whatever reason and hadn't backed a so-called Republican since Rockefeller. Rockefeller got us on the road to bankruptcy and like these voters, was a Republican in NAME ONLY! That is no surprise.

So you dont wanna talk about George taking an additonal 9500 in assembly salary, or how he wastefully spends over 55k in taxpayer money on mailers?? Or how we wasted more taxpayer money on the lawsuit against Santabarbara?? Its affecting my wallet, not sure about yours!!
