Joann, you shouldn't be sending those requests to Mike Godlewski.  And if you you didn't, he DEFINITELY shouldn't be responding.  The IDA is their own entity.  They, and their attorney, are responsible for receiving and responding to foil requests.

I suggest you foil the IDA minutes once again.  Make it a two part request - request the minutes, and then in the second one, request the draft of the minutes if they are not yet approved.  They are not "secret" until approved...just unapproved.

Wow...

I didn't send the FOIL requests to M.Godlewski. But he is the one responding to them. And I did FOIL for the draft also.

Then that is a major problem.  He does not work for the IDA. His job has nothing to do w/ the IDA.  It seems as if he wants to open and respond to the mail of the Ethics Board, the IDA and the Town Board.  He only serves as the Asst. Town Attorney, and has NOTHING to do with the IDA or Ethics Board.

You should definitely bring that up at your next meeting!

I received an email from Mr. Mike Godlewski. He explained that the Town of Rotterdam and the Rotterdam IDA are separate entities with separate budgets, attorney and charters/laws. He suggested that I direct all IDA FOIL requests to Mr. R. Mallozzi, RMallozzi@rotterdamida.org. Which I did do.
I asked who the present attorney is for the IDA. To his understanding, it is Connie Cahil from Hiscock & Barclay.

All Town Of Rotterdam FOIL requests are to be directed to the Supervisor or Town Clerk.

I FOILED for the IDA minutes from the last meeting and the agreement with the Metroplex, on 3/11/10 Thursday to Robert Mallozzi, as instructed by Mike Godlewski. I still haven't received a respond. They have 5 business days to respond that they have received the FOILED request with an approximate time that I could expect the FOIL'S.

I hope I get a respond by Wednesday.
