This is the Capital Region's version of where in the world is carmen san diego. George only spent a few minutes at the Lincoln Day dinner. He didn't even bother staying to eat. I know George likes to show off his $10,000 suits and is out of place when around us peons, but I'd think the Glen Sanders would be a classy enough joint for him...Guess not! Or, maybe it's just that he doesn't want to be with the rest of us "normal people".

Where was George in the article in today's gazette about the schenectady school district? Do Tedisco and Farley see the writing on the wall? Are they distancing themselves from the imminent doom?

Where is George speaking out against the Governor? When Spitzer went down everyone was calling for his head. This Governor admitted cheating on his wife and doing coke--on the day he was sworn in. Since then, he's accused of covering up his aide's domestic violence, silencing the victim, allowing (ordering?) the state police to visit the victim and ask her to keep quiet, illegally accepted free world series tickets, lying about his intention of paying for the tickets, allowing (ordering?) the same aide who likes beating women to backdate a check to make it look like he intended to pay for the tickets, and Amedore is no where to be seen. Shouldn’t our Assemblyman, the man who campaigned as the religious man be calling for Paterson’s removal? What kind of man of faith is Amedore? Was that religious talk all a show?

Where is George on ANYTHING? He wants to be the Assemblyman, but it’s been a long time since I’ve seen him speak on any issue. Even the other day, WRGB asked him if he’d give up the constituent mailers in order to allow the parks to stay open, George bumbled around for an answer without taking a position.

Leave it to the Rotterdam Republicans to knock out all their candidates who actually were elected.

You hit the nail right on the head.

It started a while ago....but in recent memory, it starts with GP publically denouncing JM. Then JS doesn't run for county leg. Then they pin JS against a sitting republican, JM. Then GP runs a smear campaign against FDG. Then AS turns Dem. HV leaves the rep party. Then GP denounces and will apparently run a smear campaign against one of his own, GA. Then GP's political buddy AS(D), suddenly announces his sights on GA's position.

You're right on here Source....only in rotterdam.  The rep party is shameful and laughable at best!

Where's the new leadership for that party?

.... Then GP runs a smear campaign against FDG. .....

funny when that all was happening, I said that I agreed it was a bad idea for GP to do that, then I asked a few questions.....

Seems from the many people I spoke with, that the "I" word wasn't in the infamous letter.  And I don't think GP ever went to the paper or public with this, in fact the comments in questions were (from what I have been told) in letters between GP and I think it was Bill Cook.  If this was the case, then I think the "smear" was a political game started by the Dems, somebody over there must have said, how could he and told the paper.  And as usual with so many media outlets, they probably confirmed it with two people (from the same party) and never saw the "letter" which never used the "I" word.  The games people play, seeing how the new TB is adding things to agendas after the agenda meeting, not willing to speak with the residence in open forum ie. Priveldge of the floor, not commenting on the EE issues, changing town law to hire new people (at hirer pay then the person they let go), then in almost one breath putting a hiring freeze on......need I go on?  Seems to make me questions the statements that GP or anybody started a smear when the answers I got point to somebody on the Dem party releasing information between camps and yes can you imagine, with a spin on what was said.   So many rumors, so many people with opinions.  Hey I may have got bad information, but it's the information I got.....one last thing on this, when people are not being honest they hide and get defensive, when they are on the up and up they are open and transparent....I was offered to see "letters", to that I said no need, if they offer they are honest, if the sit tight lipped and refuse to debate or answer the publics questions (can you say again TB meetings, priveldge of the floor), we should all wonder.....IMHO

GP and the Republicans are well aware of this forum.  Granted they may have been receiving flack some forum members, they could have posted the alleged letter or excerpts from it on this message board if it were incorrectly represented by the Gazette.  I'm not saying that it would have changed anything as far as the election goes, and I know it doesn't reach a huge audience.  But when you claim the media isn't giving Republicans a fair shake, you would think they would try to get their message out through other types of media- no matter how insignificant the outlet may be.  There was never an attempt to set the record straight.

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is apt to spread discontent among those who are. ~ H.L. Mencken

No politician since Joe Suhrada or Vince DiCerbo (schdy forums) has had the cajones to post something on either forum under their real name.

Wait until FDG finds out that GP made a deal with AS and the County Dems after what they said about him.

TOT-Look GP was totally unethical in his claim against FDG.  He already has shown himself for what he is.  As for hiring out of town, give me  a break--that's a dead issue--they all have done that.  As for EE there is nothing to comment on.  That is also a silly issue for anyone to continue to pursue.  That's what Reps do--make mischief instead of try to make things better.  And MT is right about Suhrada--we might not agree with everything he says but he has the fortitude to post things under his name.  His voice is sadly missing in politics.

Boomer, it's been said repeatedly: GP did NOT call FDG illiterate. Stop drinking Mason's Kool-Aid and start looking at facts. Just because it's in the peoples' gazette doesn't make it true.
