SelflessnessExcels.

to use your words "by the way"

who's is a contraction meaning "who is" not whose - relating to whom or which especially as possessor or possessors

and "verfifying" and "certainl" are spelled incorrectly...but congratulations on getting the your and you're correct. you are sooooo smart.

...and I'll close with your words "get off your high horses"

It must suck to live in a glass house....

by the way, "BUMBLETHRU" ---- no doubt you do "bumble-through" ---
grammar not being your strong-suit ----

".... I HAVE THE RIGHT TO THINK YOUR STUPID" ----- DITTO ----- it should read "YOU'RE" ... as in YOU ARE ... not YOUR (belonging to).

Just a note on real smarts ... or the obvious lack thereof.

You people make me laugh! ... Or I could cry! You're unbelievable!
Try going after the really corrupt politicians who personally benefit ---- not someone who helps a resident overcome bureaucracy --- like seeing a person in a wheelchair or with a walker and NOT making them go to their doctor (and PAY him/her for "proof") for a handicapped parking permit! Breaking the letter of the law, perhaps, but certainl not the spirit of that law! (Which would only be verfifying a NEED for the parking permit!!!) If that got her ONE vote --- wow.  You should be more concerned with the person who wouldn't do that! Use your heads!
As for the tax break for the senior who's husband passed away --- she would still be eligible for the STAR program --- she owns the home --- and do you know ANY program that allows someone to pay HALF their taxes? PLEASE! Give me a break ---- she's lucky if it saved her a couple hundred dollars ---- I doubt that has any real impact on our Rotterdam taxes ---- CERTAINLY not compared to the SPENDING SPREES Tommasone and his cronies were on! We may never recover from them!

Incidentally, the very reason why EE was opposed to the "innovative ideas" like moving the Clerk's office --- EE was opposed because of the COST to taxpayers, relative to the benefit it might possibly, maybe, [NOT] produce!

And make no mistake about it --- Eunice is only still there because residents beg her daily not to leave! She has been the only consistent help and service the Town Hall provided in the past 40 years! Why do you think residents call HER for every issue --- not just clerk issues? She gets them answers!! THAT'S why she gets the votes, friends ---- NOT because she benefits --- but because she SERVES!!!!

Why don't you all get a job --- and get off your high horses --- DON'T YOU WISH YOU COULD BE AS PRODUCTIVE AS THAT 83 YEAR OLD???!!!!
GET A LIFE!

In spite of this idiot's efforts to derail the conversation...

DEMAND EUNICE'S RESIGNATION! She is bad for this town.  The residents voted her in - but the residents don't get to decide whether her intentional law-breaking is appropriate or not...cannot WAIT for the investigation!

BTW, Peeper and all the other Kool-Aid drinkers, where are those investigations on the former Admin?

Noooooooo.....it isn't because 'she' benefits (well, she does with votes)......obviously the people she gives favors to benefit. Now, I'm not saying that EE isn't a nice lady. She is. But that is clearly not the issue here.
She broke a major law and admitted to it! END OF STORY!

If a very very nice, long time employed, walmart worker gave an obviously poor hungry wo/man $5 bucks out of the walmart register....that worker would be instantly fired. And ya know why? Cause for one thing, word would get out and s/he would get all kinds requests for the same favors and would probably repeat the favor...over and over again! Not to mention s/he would be breaking the law. It's called 'stealing'.

EE needs to be the head of the senior center. I'm dead serious! She would be GREAT!!

I repeat ---- GET A LIFE!!

They died with the end of the regime.  Why waste taxpayers money once they become private citizens?  Although GP may have some "legal" issues arising with a brewing situation with the NYS BAR Assoc.  Not sure if it related to Town biz, Mertz or private practice but I hear its coming and it's ugly.  WooooHooooo

Wait, wait, wait! ALL you could talk about after the regime change was the FBI investigations, and criminal activities of the former Admin.  Let's focus on that for a minute, shall we?  Seems as if the ONLY investigation taking place is on Eunice!!!!!

What a loser!  You go, girl!

Based on the article below the Town of Colonie TB won't tolerate wrong doing on the part of their high paid staff.  Shouldn't this happen in Rotterdam too?  Oh I forgot, Rotterdam has a Little League mentality.  I was corrected from my previous post on Bill Osta's statement.

Something is in our koolaid that needs to be checked!

Landfill chief refuses to quit
Colonie employee on paid leave after refusing Town Board's demand he resign
  By TIM O'BRIEN, Staff writer
First published in print: Thursday, February 25, 2010

COLONIE -- Joseph Stockbridge, the town's director of environmental services, refused a Town Board demand he resign Wednesday.

The board voted 6-1 in a closed-door session Tuesday to seek Stockbridge's resignation. Supervisor Paula Mahan contended Stockbridge knew that County Waste was dumping more garbage in the town landfill than it was paying for and did nothing to stop it. She said there was no evidence that he had profited from the dumping.

Town officials confirmed Wednesday that Stockbridge was the topic of the Tuesday meeting.

"The employee was Joe Stockbridge," town spokeswoman Sara Wiest said. "He was notified and given the opportunity to resign, and he declined."

Stockbridge was immediately placed on paid administrative leave from his job, which pays $104,770 a year. The town's labor counsel, Roemer & Wallens, is being asked to start disciplinary proceedings.

Reached at his home, Stockbridge referred comments to his lawyer, Lisa Joslin of the Albany firm of Gleason, Dunn, Walsh & O'Shea. Joslin could not be reached.

On Monday, Clifton Park-based trash hauler County Waste settled legal charges with the state attorney general's office stemming from allegations that it underestimated the amount of garbage it was dumping and accepted potentially putrid waste at its Clifton Park transfer station without building a required enclosed structure to hold it.

Stockbridge was responsible for oversight at the landfill during the period covered under the settlement from 2002 through 2006.

County Waste and owner Scott Earl must pay a total of $986,186. Of that, $736,186 is being paid to resolve the submission of false weight slips to the town of Colonie.

The firm must also pay $250,000 in fines and penalties to the state for accepting waste without a proper permit. Ralph Hunter, a former manager for County Waste who initiated the lawsuit in the case, will receive $163,651, or 17 percent of the total.

The board's vote on Stockbridge occurred behind closed doors. Mahan emerged immediately afterward to say the board had voted to ask for a then-unnamed worker's resignation.

Robert Freeman, director of the state Committee on Open Government, said the board is able to cast votes during a properly called closed-door meeting.

"It may vote during the executive session unless the vote is to expend public money," he said.
