I don't see any Rep that can win this.  I like Gillibrand but think Ford is better.  Wonder who is kicking up dust about it.

I am hopeful that an opponent with conservative views will challenge and defeat Gillibrand in November.  I will do my part
to support such an outcome.

If, however, the seat remains in Democrat hands, I propose that we push for Gillibrand to sign a proxy statement and deliver it to
Schumer to save the taxpayers the salary, benefits, and other compensation paid to Gillibrand who has consistently taken direction
from and voted with "the Senior Senator from NYS".

I understand that the Senate is supposed to be comprised of two Senators from each state.  However, since the two of them clearly
speak with one voice (Schumer's), couldn't we optimize the NYS delegation and save 1/2 of the expense?

Hopefully, the puppet master Schumer will also have an opponent, or two. Hello Tea Party Patriots?

Ford won’t seek Senate seat
Democrat says run against Gillibrand would weaken party

    NEW YORK — Former Tennessee congressman Harold Ford Jr. said Monday he won’t challenge Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in this fall’s Democratic primary because he doesn’t want to divide and weaken the party.
    In a New York Times op-ed posted online for today’s editions, Ford said he believed he could have won but didn’t want to risk a bitter primary that could help a Republican take the seat.
    “I’ve examined this race in every possible way,” Ford wrote, “and I keep returning to the same fundamental conclusion: If I run, the likely result would be a brutal and highly negative Democratic primary — a primary where the winner emerges weakened and the Republican strengthened.”
    Ford moved to New York after losing the 2006 U.S. Senate race in Tennessee, taking a job with Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
    He had spent the past seven weeks traveling the state and meeting with voters, Democratic dignitaries and elected officials to gauge support for a potential campaign.
    Many in the Democratic establishment backing Gillibrand, including the White House and New York Sen. Charles Schumer, sought to discourage Ford from running.

They forced Ford out of the race because Schumer has Guillibrand trained to vote for everything the Democratic party wants.
