It is now dec 31, 2009 has passed

No publicly posed meeting agenda - not even with a thumbtack on a bulletin board at town hall

their first meeting the new team starts off on the wrong foot

I was there and didn't quite see it your way.

Parisi dressed ever so casually looked uncomfortable especially after Andy Brick blew up his little set-up.  Ryan looked like a total jerk as did Parisi.  How come the former Town attorney Mr. Parisi didn't know the IDA board served at the pleasure of the Town?  He looked like a total incompetent.  People cheered for Andy Brick.

Sure FDG was nervous--they were all nervous.  But they were all better including FDG than Parisi, the self-appointed savior to the Town of Rotterdam who thought he was the only person with any real experience.  Judging by his first faux pas he surely is the dolt I thought he was.  The real star of the show was Andy Brick. Parisi never disappoints in the comic arena.

FDG may have shown his inexperience but compared to GP and Parisi's hired attendants FDG and the crowd smoked them out.  It was wonderful for those of us who have been waiting to see the old regime dissolved.

Susan Savage's presence did not add or subtract to the day.  Always nice to see Tonko.  Diane Marco came in to the post by the skin of her teeth.  At least she has some experience since she was the liason to center.  Seniors like her and expect some of the old familiar faces back at the center in some capacity.

It was a great day in the Town today.

I was there at the meeting today. What a joke. FDG wasn't nervous, he is apparently illiterate. Didn't anyone notice the agenda was dumbed
down so he could read it?  The hootin' and hollerin' from the peanut gallery was actually quite comical, I was actually waiting for
Yosemite Sam to come in with his guns a blazin'.

No question or answer session?  What?  If you ask a question of the Town Board, don't you deserve at least an answer of "I will take you
name and number after the meeting and get back to you?"

It was a ridiculous circus today......

Circus for you....because you couldn't even field candidates to run.

I would take a businessman who brought himself up by the boot straps over an arrogant, comedic attorney any day.

And how about that Andy Brick?  Made your boy look like a fool.  Get a grip Mary.  That little group cobbled together will make a huge positive improvement.  The hootin and hollerin you site was the sound of people who were delighted to get your gang out the door.  Glad it was a circus. Parisi will serve perfectly as the clown he is.  It was a delight to see him sit there with Franny as Supervisor after his negative remarks about Franny.  Only way he could get on the board was to appoint himself.  Long standing Republicans are jumping ship after that idiotic trick.

You kids might want to pick up the new book "Eating Crow for Dummies."

The dems should be ashamed of themselves for putting FDG in this more than awkward, embarrassing position. People will go to these town board meetings and either discuss his inadequacies over coffee/beer after the meetings OR feel pity for him. This guys is 70 years old and has already suffered heart attacks. What the hell were they thinking? Nice job dems!

And even FDG knows that he wouldn't have won this election if it weren't for the NNTP (mcgarry).

As far as the self appointed parisi........he's insignificant at this point. I predict that if the rep party rebuilds and builds steam under new leadership, they will eat parisi up and spit him out OR he will change party affiliations. I predict the later will happen first. IMHO

Bumblethru-his age is irrelevant to this conversation.  I had no idea he had a heart attack.  That didn't seem to stop insufferable Dick Cheney.  As far as discussing his inadequacies following the meetings--LOL--what do you think we did after the meetings with Tommasone, Mertz, etc.  The people wanted change.  People won't feel pity.  That is ridiculous.  People will probably be patient and understanding about his maiden run at politics.

Parisi will  have to change his party. Even I as a former RINO wouldn't admit he was my party.  Hope he doesn't change to democrat.  However, Schdy County Dems seem to be willing to take anybody into the fold.  I will not list them here.  My father who died at the age of 49 thrity eight years ago
today, was a Republican and he would have been appalled at the tactics of the current Republican leadership in the Town and in the County.

My father was a democrat and would be appalled at the tactics of the current democratic leadership.....from the top (nationally)down. It is not the democratic party my mother and father  supported or believed in. But there is no party reminiscent of what they use to be. Sad!
