I heard that Mike Viscusi will be endorsed by the Repubs to run for Suhrada's seat. Other candidate names I've heard are Joe Guiderelli (C?) and Randy Pascarella (C). Unsure if they will be cross-endorsed by the Dems or the Repubs. I assume that Judy Dagostino (D) will run for reelection. As for Tedisco's seat, there was a news story (Times Union or Gazette) that identified: - Republicans
- Jeff Blatnick
- Jim Buhrmaster
- Bob Farley
- Peter Guiderelli
- Jay Rifenbary
- Missy Shorey
- Democrats
- Sue Savage
Most of the names above were identified in the article below. Anyone care to place odds? http://www.rotterdamny.info/m-1231879958/s-15/ (Reply 21) |

IS he or ISN'T he the sauce guy? This is SO confusing! Is he related to the Ziggy Viscusi that got a whipping from Dave Leon for tresspassing on Dave's land? There are just a LOT of Viscusis, I am not trying to be a wisea_as, just trying to figure out who he is and what he is about. Also who will be the person for the other seat? There are 2 and last time we had signs up for Sherman an Surhada and they had Dagostino and Chiaravalle- MalloSSi against them. We all remember how that turned out!!!
Also since this is a section on Surhada tell me who he is running WITH and against......... SOMEONE??? There are also 2 council seats as well correct? Is it Della Villa or Signore who he is supposed to team up with?
And last but not least WHO IN THE WORLD is filling the seat that John Silva left? Is that vacant since I never hear who was going in other than the talk of Marchinkoski and I only call it talk because I never saw in the paper that he was actually put on the board. Anyone know much about him as well. Did the board approve it?
Holy crap there are a lot of question and very few answers....this tired me out! LOLOLOLOL |

From Feb 11th Daily Gazette story by Justin Mason. Read Reply #23 http://www.rotterdamny.info/m-1234292977/s-new/#num29.
Quoted Text
Rotterdam’s Republican Committee unanimously endorsed Schenectady County Legislator Joe Suhrada to run in place of Town Board member John Mertz. In accepting the designation, Suhrada announced he will not seek re-election to the Legislature next fall. County Republican Chairman Tom Buchanan said his committee is now interviewing candidates for Suhrada’s seat, but Mertz is not among the candidates who have indicated interest in running.

In another move, the town GOP’s Executive Committee selected Stanley Marchinkowski to fill Democrat John Silva’s seat for the rest of the year. Silva has resigned effective March 1, citing work obligations. Marchinkowski, a first-year member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, received the committee’s endorsement to run for the remaining two years of Silva’s four-year term in November.

On Assembly-Missy who? Gold medalist Jeff Blatnick (who has a park in Nisky) against Susan? Like to see her run for 2 offices at the same time. Just what we don't need in Albany-she's done such a job raising our taxes. On County-moving Joe down to the town has changed the game. Nothing is decided yet. Keep hearing that Judy D will not run-opening up 2 seats. Plenty of business people are eyeballing this. Hopefully someone from the Hilltowns will run with Viscusi. |

Salami, What business people are you referring to? What would be their motivation? (certainly not the money) |

DellaVilla isnt up. Marchinkowski will be appointed to fill Silva's seat and will run as a (R) with Signore and Surhadra(R) Tommasone (R) will run against ???
This Mike Viscusi aint the sauce guy. No relation to Mickey or Joe or any Ziggy. He is related to Santabarbara and was part of the failed coup to take over the Conservative Party with Angelo and Kelly Rhinestone. He will be endorsed by the republicans.
Newsflash: Holly Vellano is running as a Conservative endorsed by the Democrats and Independence Party against Tommasone for Supervisor. |
