Does anyone know what happened with this? I heard that a couple of the board members listened to the people (including Joe Salomander) and want to drop that emminant domain scheme. I hope so! I also heard that Macejka is on the school board too. Anyone know about that?

Also, didn't Surhada have a plan a few years ago to make it harder for the locals to use emminent domain? I remember Suzi Savage tearing him apart on that one, but no body spoke up in his defense (again) as the local Goppers usually didn't support the guy when he went on a limb.

Chuck is serving the second year of his second term on the Board of Education and was elected as vice-president for the 2008-2009 school year.

He is the station manager at the Albany Carrier Annex with the U.S. Postal Service, where he has worked for 24 years. Macejka is a graduate of Mohonasen High School and also attended Schenectady County Community College.

He is a member of the Mohonasen Sports Boosters and a former volunteer with the Mohon Masque Theatre Group.

Macejka was both president and vice president of Carman Little League, was vice president and secretary of the Capital District Boys' Basketball League, past president of the Capital District Girls' Basketball League and former member of the Town of Rotterdam Budget Review Committee. He is a member of the Mohonasen Sports Boosters. He is a member of the Rotterdam Elks, a former Democratic Committeeman and a parishioner at St. Gabriel's church.

Macejka and his wife, Laura, have two children: Jordan, who is a senior at Mohonasen High School; and Jenna, who is a junior at Mohonasen High School.

well good things are that there are several demos who will balance the things out over here since this here group is very right wing and that. this Spadaro had the nerve to go against Mr. Tonko and this one Salamon is a right wing too. Thank you Mr Macejka and Miss Adamec for giving the balance and working to protect the people and the good teachers who work hard with the kids. I heard French also thinks the correct way as does my man Dom so for now we can sleep at night knowing the repubs dont run all the things in the town. Del Prad, I dont know how she stands as long as she isnt listening to the right wing we will be Ok over here. Thank you people.

- Look people this is simple, if the guy doesnt want to do the right thing for the people and the kids then you get someone who has the power to do the job right and you go get the county to buy the land from him and use the domain of the county. The repubs on the school board are trying to be the usual trouble makers and they DONT CARE ABOUT THE KIDS AND THE SPORTS AND THAT! Dont you see? Gee Sal, hypothetically speaking......what if those property owners are loyal dems? Ya know, the ones who donate to the dems for all of their causes? Is this the treatment they should get?

The fact is the people who live on that property have worked hard to pay for it, they're living there and really don't want to sell it so find some other way to get land for the bus garage and fields. There should be no way for anyone to take someone else's land unless the owners want to sell it.

Perhaps there should be a petition started IF the property owners think it is necessary. I'm sure they would get a ton of signers in their favor.

The school may have their own power but the home owner can tie this case up in court for years if they get a good lawyer and fight it. I think that the school will find that the public isn't behind them on this issue.
