As long as it's not Steverino!  FDG is the person of choice.  If not, Brian McGarry is an excellent choice and should be the ONLY choice for Republicans.

Lazzari has a "huge" campaign sign mounted on the barn of the former Crounse farm on Route 7 (now owned by
Flying J).  Could Joe have contacted Flying J to get permission?    Oh, and there is an FDG sign there also.
What happened to the idea of respecting personal property?  Wonder if a sheriff would like someone to come along and post that type of sign on his home or garage?

Let's talk about signs not qualifications? Speaking of signs did you hear the one about.....

Here's the biggest difference: Joe Lazzari is a combat vet with a great military background. The other-?

He was in the military, that of course is a positive but since he has zero experience in law enforcement supervision and zero budgetary experience and his opponent does, I think that is a major issue. After all, the Sheriff must be the leader of a 150+ person Sheriff's Dept. and you must have a background in Law Enforcement Administration to be effective, IMO.

Exactly.  I wouldn't vote for someone just because they were military - experience, background and effectiveness in the job are important issues as well

I'm not saying I wouldn't vote for him - but not specifically because he was military.

SCHENECTADY COUNTY
Dagostino, Lazzari cite cop experience
Sheriff candidates call for training, downplay idea of countywide force

BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter
Reach Gazette reporter Michael Lamendola at 395-3114 or lamend@dailygazette.com

With less than a week to go before the general election, the two candidates for Schenectady County sheriff emphasized their years of law enforcement and professionalism as their greatest strengths for office during a League of Women Voters of Schenectady County forum Tuesday night at the county library Main Branch.
Dominic Dagostino, 42, a Conservative running on the Conservative, Democratic and Working Families lines, faces Joe Lazzari, 60, a member of the Independence Party running with the Republican endorsement. ..................>>>>...................>>>>................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01200&AppName=1

Joe Lazzari was on fire last night at the final debate. Another victory. Hint: DDAG take off sunglasses when indoors. It hardly looks "supervisory"-lol-Did you get your DDAG robo call yet?

Here's how bad it is for a couple of DAGS. They had to recanvass Rotterdam again. Even in his hometown the support is a mile wide and half an inch deep.

When you have two candidates for Sheriff, one a combat vet with 36 years as a Master Sgt and the other with no military service-give me the veteran. Some of us remember when most police officers were veterans.

Yes, but also some of us remember that when sheriffs were sworn into office, they had experience as a police officer, peace keeper, law enforcement supervision and budget experience - those need to be looked at also.

Does either candidate have all the qualifications? I don't know the answer to that - it'll likely be a line I don't vote on this year

LOL, the Reps even gave up on attacking Judy because she is sooooo far in the lead, you're bs is comical. Fill us in where Lazzari is canvassing, MIA is more like it. Both Dag's will roll in Rotterdam, not even remotely close.

You might be right PG. Maybe the dags will fair well in rotterdam. Judy dago and h.v. may have a chance to get a rotterdam majority. But the hill towns and adjacent counties may may prove more difficult.

As for D.dago, he may also pick up rotterdam, but Lazzari seems to have captured the hill towns and surrounding counties.

imho

Holly is way ahead and Brad Littlefield is only 2 points behind J DAG in the latest DEM poll. D DAG better "roll" here because the only place he is leading. He's so far ahead he had to rework it?-lol.

As far as the County REPS-you are right-they threw in the towel last month and starting attacking FDG.
Stop confusing the dead enders with the rising NNTP. Brad is in it to win it.

I predict h.v. and littlefield the winners. It will be close! Which again goes to prove  how a 3rd party candidate with NO major party backing has come this far!!! The people are making it clear that they are tired of the present 2 party system.

We finally have another choice.....VOTE ROW F!!!
