I've heard of climate change, but it must be a REAL cold day in hell, I'm gonna agree with Cicero again.

Metroplex needs to be dissolved.

Too bad more of them didn't listen to Surhada's blind fanaticism and fire Gillen. It was all partisan anyway him not backing Gillen and the increase in credit limit, as Cicero says. Better to just have one party rule in there and focus on beating up the few republicans left in office. So WHAT if we are talking tens of millions in corruption and waste?

Surhada wanted Gillen fired, who was Surhada going to replace Gillen with????  Did he have a successor lined up??  Or just more empty rhetoric?

Don't you get it.  It is one party rule.  I don't care if Surhada chooses his person to head Metroplex, or Savage choose her person.  It's all the same.  One of the two major party's want control the authority with no accountability to the taxpayer, with the democans, republicrats, and a few select businesses reaping the benefit.

To quote Senders......"FOLLOW THE MONEY$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$"

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is apt to spread discontent among those who are. ~ H.L. Mencken

On the fraud issue; What is your term for giving away $750,000 in professional contracts without a writing? Without competitive bidding. Then we can discuss the parking scandal. SHARON JORDAN is treasurer of Metrograft?

There is a poll on Talk1300 on whether to cancel or spend more on Metrograft. It must be ended. The Attorney General must now follow up on the issues the disgraceful audit raised. Now we know why this was sat on for 11 months and then released on July 4th. Can the Gazetto bury the lead anymore? They scream that Metrograft is solvent-it's a taxpayer funded flop-how could it not be solvent?

Working together works! lol-Where is the DA today? Where is the worst Chamber in the State? Where is SS Savage? Where is Judy DAG? Where is Son of Sam? Where is Karen Johnson?

Where is Hugh Farley?  Where is Robert Farley?  Where is James Tedisco?  Where is Joe Surhada? Where is Angelo Santabarbara?  Where is George Amedore?  Where is James Buhrmaster?  Where Tom Bucannan?  Where is Gerard Parisi?  Where is Steve Tommasone?  Where is Joseph Signore?  Where is John Mertz?

Who's offering an alternative?  The Republicans gave birth to this bastard child called Metroplex, now they don't know what to do with it.

Really, Cicero, since you think he has done such a horrific job, along with all other leaders, ever- YOU need to stop worrying about what people will say about you when you run. After all, you said some nasty things about his childnessness that his wife might read, maybe when you run, your wife and kids will be understanding that when their father gets ripped up, it was just the same as what he dished out, albeit anonymously (or so he thinks.)

I never said anything about Mr. Surhada's childlessness.   I don't know Mr. Surhada that well, besides his politics.

I said that YOU, Grahambonnet, must have no kids because the comments YOU made comparing the Schenectady School Board President's son to the son of Stalin, because you disagree with the fathers politics.  I don't believe Mr. Surhada would make such irresponsible comments about somebody's school aged child, because he disagreed with his father’s politics.  Mr. Surhada's above that type of character assassination.  I would like to believe Mr. Surhada would have a more substantive debate on a public forum.

Has anyone invited Mr Suhrada to join this forum - as he's hoping to represent Rotterdam, and currently represents Rotterdam in the County Legislature?

Maybe it's time to make a phone call

Why should Rotterdam politicos make any statement? This mess was birthed by Bob Farley but it's the KRATS including Sal here that keep telling us how great it is. The KRATS were running the circus. They must now face the wrath of the taxpayers. Call in the FBI.

The obsession with Joe Suhrada is funny. Everthing is the minorities fault? LOL. The most non-culpable party. ANG was also been great on this horror show. Like the pathetic Schenectady Schools now nobody knows from nuthin and everyone is in the KRAT bunker unavailable for any comment. Come out of the bunker KRAT leaders and face the music.

Name me ONE Republicans public position on Metroplex that differs with Democrats on the fundamental existence of Metroplex.  I can't find one.  Republicans actually believe that Metroplex "aided the rebirth" of Schenectady.  Benny, you're the one that is always laughing at the "renaissance" of Schenectady.  The Republicans believe the same thing.

I'll give you the prepared statement from the Republican Leadership on May 23th 2008.

Quoted Text
"Metroplex is an important public authority that has aided in Schenectady County's continued economic renewal, revitalization and rebirth," read the statements. "We believe that politics should be taken out of Metroplex so it can continue its mission of attracting and retaining the kind of smart, long-term investment that grows our local economy and pays real dividends for Schenectady's future."

Everyone laughing at this taxpayer fraud. While we are at it where's the CONS Party on this? The CONS I know are against socialism and regressive sales taxes. But here? You want to have a real renaissance? Slash Property taxes, fire useless County lobs, cut extra DSS Programs, cut sales tax, then people will come into this County to buy things not just for Welfare benes.

Cicero likes to blame only Joe Suhrada. He was the only one that wanted to fire Death Ray. The only one that demanded answers on Big House. Yes, the Farley's created this monster but your DEMS perpetuated it. Sal-didn't you read the audit?-Jobs have been lost and not created by these morons. Suhrada was right again.

There must be some sort of misunderstanding.  I am not blaming Shurada.  I'm pointing out that Surhada and ALL of the sitting elected Republican officials offer no alternate position on the Metroplex.  Many of them on the issue, are quiet as a church mouse.(Except when they wanted to get Saccocio on the Metroplex board), and others like Farley and Tedisco commending it's successes.

Surhada was the only one who wanted to fire Gillen.  Great, then what??  Put Manning back in?  Problem solved, Metroplex is all better.

Benny, do you believe that changing Metroplex leadership to somebody appointed by the Republicans makes the Metroplex in some way more acceptable and successful??
