The all-Krat town of Niskayuna Town Bored announced another 5.5% tax hike on top of the 10% County hike announced by Sue Savage {D-Niskayuna}. Last year the all-Krat Town Bored raised taxes by over 9.9%. In just two years Town/County taxes have been raised over 25% plus a town wide reassessment!

Quote of the month from Bored member Ms. O'Donnell; "to find a functional level of service and a manner of service delivery that we want to aspire to and then leverage our existing staff with their many years of experience, to most effectively and efficiently serve the residents of the town."

Translation into English-"we refuse to lay off anyone and will raise taxes again despite pleas from many residents". Since Ms. O'Donnell is up for re-election next year she pulled a Finn and voted against the budget!

It spreads like a fungus. And so the people voted them in and this is what they got! Perhaps they will smarten up come the next election cycle.

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil,
The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

It depends on who thinks they can afford it and want to pay for it......and.....if they are the leaders too.....whoever controls the money (or has the $)
controls the masses.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
