What happened to the majestic pine trees at the cemetery on Rt 7 near Dunnsville Rd?  I drove by the other day to see half of them removed, followed by the rest of them shortly after.

I can only suppose the cemetery needed more grave space?  Too bad.  Those pines looked really cool.

Michael, I thought the same thing when I saw those trees come down. The Golub Corporation is in the process of expanding their warehouse area. I believe the road behind Cumberland will be closed off and another road will go from Dunnesville to Duanesburg somewhere in the vicinity of that cemetery, the power lines and Dolan Drive.

I think it would be a good idea for the Cemetery to plant trees or shrubs or erect some stone wall in front of the land. Since Rt 7 will eventually be developed, this would make the cemetery a little more private.

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil,
The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Maybe the tree roots are undermining those 'at rest' in their beds....????
