Just so you all know, I received a phone call today from Mike Lamendola at the People's Gazette, inquiring about Tuesday's Committee Primary. The
message said that he was doing a story about the Primary, wanted to report on the status of both sides and that he was also calling Randy Pascarella.
As you all know, the People's Gazette has demonstrated in their coverage of this story so far, that as usual, they spin everything to fit
into their own liberal agenda. Those of you who have been following this thread know that this is particularly true of Lamendola. He won't accurately report facts. quotes, etc., even when they are literally spelled out for him, and even when he has nothing to back his claims,
or Randy's for that matter. Fabricated quotes were beginning to surface, etc.
I'm sure his inquiry is an attempt to derail our efforts for next Tuesday.
It is for these reasons we had decided after the last story that we were not going to communicate with them again before the Primary.
You should all know that it was a joint, and unanimous, decision among our organizers to stop communication with them...as was our
declination to participate in a Sunday feature story that would have run on August 24.
So expect to see more of the same outrageous claims, false information, clueless inuendos, etc. And of course it will include the ol'
"Rhinesmith did not return calls for comment."
No one from our side will be talking to them.

What have you got to hide Miss Rhinsmith? Why wont you talk with them? I think it is a worng move but then you may be discretited further for being against the rights of law enforcement officials 3 of which are being railroaded today by the liberal courts.

I think that refusing to talk with the gazette is a good idea. I'd give Spotlight the story before I'd give it to the gazette. It is unfortunate that we have a 'hometown' news paper that we can't trust. Expecting bias reporting is a thing of the past.

They are suppose to be just 'reporters'. However, they are reporters with 'agendas'. Good move on the conservatives part. So if there is any mudsling in the gazette....everyone can just undo it here and tell the truth.

I can definitely understand where she/the others are coming from...I have unfortunately fell victim, similarly, to something along the same lines.

The only paper that I can say WHOLLY and TRULY reported anything regarding my candidacy is the Rotterdam Spotlight.  Additionally, several letters to the editor went unprinted and were not responded to at all...It is DEFINITELY frustrating!

Well, there's always other forums, Joseph.  Just have to find them, whether it's boards like this, or even your own blog.

I trust the spotlight! Thank God we have that outlet. The gazette is just an arm of the dictatorship of Schenectady.

You have some quality folks working behind the scenes for you.  The least Tedisco, Buchanan and Santabarbara could do for you is pay for a spokesperson or hire a PR firm for you.  What's a few thousand more dollars in such a big primary like this?  Better yet, I think you would make a great spokesperson for the party.  Your reputation in the community is that of an honest, fair-minded, law-abiding, hard-working citizen.  You are beyond reproach and you are one person no one could criticize.  Your motives are truly altruistic.  You have my vote of confidence!

Great comment.  It rings quite true...except for the spokesperson payment.  Everything (and yes, I mean everything) has been out of the pockets of hard working TRUE Conservatives, not people from another party pretending to be conservatives.

I know, but I think that a good portion of the second half of it could hold true.  I think that Kelly could be a good spokesperson for the party.
