I heard a commercial that did put this election in a different perspective for me today. It was a commercial by Mark Blanchfield, but it actually had George Amedore talking more than it did Mark Blanchfield. Amedore said something to the effect of "Building homes is my job, it's in my blood." And then it had something to the effect of Amedore summarily dismissing his job in the Assembly. |

Quoted from Kevin March: I heard a commercial that did put this election in a different perspective for me today. ...
So, Kevin, Did your support for Mr. Amedore increase or decrease when you heard him state that he is a business owner first and not a lawyer turned career politician? I believe that our founding fathers were business owners who governed on a part-time basis. Experience working in the private sector provides a perspective that few of our elected representatives can rightfully claim to have. |

Indeed it looks liek Georgie isnt wanting this anymore and got tired of the problem of running and that. Also I was told by some people that the taxpayers are suffering and the seniors will loose the homes unless we get a demo in to help us out here with the state aid. |

I have to admit, my first reaction was that my support decreased yet more. I agree and second your opinion on the founding fathers, and I realize what you're saying about having another job (whatever it is) first, serving in politics second, but it was the way that I heard the commercial that made me lean away from Amedore (not necessarily towards Blanchfield, but away from Amedore, still. I'll have to ponder this a bit more, but it does give a new light on this. Thanks. |

If anyone has ever attended or watched the meetings on TV and seen Blanchfield, they would clearly NOT vote for him. He is arrogant and very rude to anyone who poses a question to the dictatorship.
I received a flier from his political camp and one statement made me baulk! It says that, 'if elected Mark will: Work to ensure the richest New Yorkers pay their fair share."
He makes it sound that people who work their a**es off to gain more prosperity in this country are like evil people. He would prefer to tax the hell out of the rich and for what? Of course to create even more government programs. So we can have even MORE people on public assisstence.
A vote for Blanchfield is a vote for more government spending and taxation and more government programs. Sorry Kev....Amedore has my vote. |

Sal the state doesn't have anywhere near that amount of money to give out and the state is going to have to cut even more money out of their budget than it has already. |

Right on Bumble! Mark's answer to those that complained about Schenectady's tenth highest in the Nation taxes-"Get a second job". They should run for City Council{against him} so that they can rudely dismiss the taxpayers and bang the gavel on speakers. Now he is campaigning against high taxes that he voted for in Schenectady! Mark is lying about creating 100's of jobs in the City. Where at the unopened Big House? {$3 million Metrograft/taxpayer dollars and counting}. He would vote with Shelly Silver 100% of the time. Government never creates jobs the best they can do is get out of the way. Anyone who thinks Mark has a prayer needs to ride up Rt 30 in Amsterdam. Wall to wall George Amedore signs. George is far from perfect but he understands the effect of high tolls and taxes on businesses and families. |

Our country is aging and old now.....we cant afford to take care of our seniors.....dont think $$ wont be attached to this bail out for the retirees........read the small print.........these folks in high places have panoramic vision because if they didn't then why bother voting and they are all liars and cheats........ both parties Dems or Reps have 2choices.....continue to blame the other guy and not have a solution and act like you never new(makes them look dumb).....or both parties accept responsibility and not have a solution still acting like your surprised but greedy(still makes them look dumb)..........NEITHER PARTY CAN ACT LIKE THEY NEVER KNEW OR BLAME THE OTHER PARTY'S POLICIES....THEY ARE THE SAME.................. as for AARP and state and fed aide----SHOW ME THE $$ TRAIL............ |
