Just file the damn things and get it over with.......pick up your dirty socks and put them in the laundry please.......we all know how dirty it is out there......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Ang is pretty new here so I dont know that this is all his fault. Who was running this thing until Ang took over? Maybe  Suhrada was, and it was his mess up to clean up since he was a legislator longer. Possibly Mrs Caroline Lazzari was at fault although the letter writer didnt mention her. In any event this should come out and the person should take accountability so that Ang doesnt have to. If it is Suhrada or Caroline then by all means stand up and take your hits and let us know. we will forgive you, but dont cover up who is at fault or you will lose your credibility and bullies pulpit. I have a feeling that Ang, being so new, and a volunteer, didn't make this decision to file late.

I fail to see what Suhrada or Lazzari has to do with filing the state reports too late. I would have to believe that whoever had the position previous to Angelo, would have passed this info on to him. Or perhaps they chose not to....

Well the letter pointed out Suhrada ( the one in the gazette the other day) so I am not sure if this job is part of being a county legislator for Rotterdam or what. A few months ago it said Suhrada was the one behind the S. I. Industries tax cut deal too. So I figure it is part of the legislators job from that district, which could be Suhrada, Caroline or even our old turn coat friend Judy D. Who is to blame??? I want some answers if the repubs are gonna critisize the dems, so I want a truthfull response from these guys (who I support most of the time) and if IF it is Judy D then the dems may be lieing.

I don't think Mr. Shurada or Ms. Lazzari have to worry about shouldering any blame for Mr. Santabarbara's lapse.  Especially on this message board. Most people on this board are political junkies, they know who to hold responsible.  Angelo dropped the ball, he doesn't need excuses made for him.  He wasn't forced to be legislator and IDA chair, he chose to hold multiple positions.  If he isn't competent enough to hold both positions, it's nothing to be ashamed of.  He is an engineer in his primary job, he's a county legislator and Rotterdam IDA chairman in his secondary jobs, and he is also a father.  He's juggling a lot of responsibility, he's bound to drop one.  Maybe he should rethink his choices.

OK, my question should be possibly phraesed this way then. Is the job of IDA a role of all the county legislators including Angelo, Joe, Caroline (now Tony the snake Jursinski) and Judy D? I remember a letter  a few months ago that saidthe IDA dealings between Schenectady Chemicals and the IDA were the fualt or making of Joe S. Then I read this other letter, and I consider myself on top of the various games politically speaking too. But Angelo is getting all the blame because he is chairman and I am wondering why the otheras aren't taking some of the blame too for it here on the board IF IN DEED THESE PEOPLE are also sitting on that IDA board if directors too. I would just want to know the facts because if the others are NOT sitting on the board of directors then why does the Gazette point the finger at them in the letters section???? Who is on that there board now and over the years where those papers didnt get submitted to the state the way they supposedly should be submitted???????? There might also lie your culprits, in the grass.

The way I read it is, Angelo is chairman of the Rotterdam IDA.  Ya know 'the buck stops here' guy.  I didn't read the article that you allude to.  But I don't know what Lazzari or Shurada have to do with the filing of Rotterdam IDA reports, or why Lazzari of Shurada would even be mentioned.  They are irrelevant.  Especially Lazzari, she doesn't even hold an elected position.

The same reason Mr. Gillen takes all the blame and credit for Metroplex projects.  He's the chairman.  My guess is, 95% of the Schenectady County residents don't even know who sit on the Metroplex board.  Except for that 5% of political junkies.

Remember, you don't have to have an elected position to be the one in charge of the IDA.  It was just a couple weeks ago that BoB (No Change) GODlewski was saying how the head of the IDA shouldn't and didn't need to be an elected official, trying to get Angelo ousted from his seat as the IDA head.

I don't know who sits on that board, besides Gillen, Neil Golub and someone from Proctors.

It would be something that we should keep up on, and I plan to start keeping better track...if I can.

Does Neil Golub get blamed for the Van Dyke or Big House failures?  No.  His name isn't even mentioned.  Mr. Gillen's is though.

I forgot the whiole issue about Patrick Saccocio getting onto this board.  Here's the list straight from their site.

http://www.schenectadymetroplex.org/ContentManager/index.cfm?Step=Display&ContentID=42

Quoted Text
Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority Board of Directors
Ray Gillen, Chair
Bradley G. Lewis, Vice Chair
Robert L. Wall, Secretary
Sharon A. Jordan, Treasurer
Edward L. Capovani
William R. Chapman
Neil M. Golub
Janet Hutchison
Sharon A. Jordan
Robert J. Mantello
Gary McCarthy
Patrick J. Saccocio

I was sort of wondering why Mr. Saccocio got pushed to the bottom of the list, thinking it was probably because he was the Rotterdam appointment that they didn't want to make, until I realized that it was due to the officers are listed first, then all other members, who he is the last one, alphabetically.

Thanks Brad.

Looks like the Rotterdam IDA's expenditures have grown nearly 10 fold since 2006.  It went from $5000 a year in 2006, to $46,250 a year in 2008's proposed budget.  Great job Republicans.  Way to show the Democrats how to create bureaucracy and expand it right under the nose of the residents.  Small government, fiscally conservative Republicans. HA!  They're all swine.

Maybe Tommasone should pay for a study of the IDA's viability in the town.

Take a peek at the salaries.....
2006, $5,000
2007, $7,500
2008, $19,000

Are there more members on the IDA board or did they just get raises?

I wonder what is considered  'professional service contracts' that cost $18,500.  Could it be lawyer fees payed to Parisi's law firm?  Just speculation.  I personally like all the 0's in the revenue column.

I still want to know the role of LAzzari and Suhrada as to whose job it WAS to get the reports in and why they didn't do it, IF it was their job to. Also Judy D and Tony the Snake,  what was their job too? I am concerned the rest of the Rotterdam legisalators are not getting the proper blame and just Ang. He is the new whipping boy and my wife and I don't like it, least of which I suspect it is because of his heritage and his youth.

So Brad, does it mean they have filed finally?
