Hey all, I finally registered for these forums and figured I'd say hi.

I'm a County resident, currently living in the City, but my roots are in Rotterdam (as well as parents, friends and businesses I support).  I've been reading these forums/blogs for a long time, nice to see so many viewpoints on issues.  If you don't mind too much, I'll share my opinions too, even though I'm not a Rotterdam resident per se.

Have a great day everyone - Smile to a stragner today, spread some love! (oh, and be sure to support your local businesses!)

No, welcome to the board.  Since you say that you've been reading for a while, you will realize that not everybody IS actually residents of Rotterdam and we welcome people from outside the town to share.  We are always looking at how to make things better, whether it be in town (which improvements aren't necessarily going to come directly from residents, but also passers-through) or throughout the county, state, country, and world (which, in fact, you are part of all of these.  In fact, if you'll see, some of us even have thoughts about what should be / could be happening in the city, and although most of us are not residents of the city, we like ot bring up ideas to help throughout the area.

Welcome and glad to have someone from the city. Cause what goes on in Schenectady ultimately effects the entire county. We are ALL Schenectadians.

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil,
The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hello

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
