It was indeed a joy to take the family and go to Stewart’s on Mother’s Day to receive a free ice cream cone for Mom. What a wonderful gesture on Stewart’s part. Even St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated with a free cone for wearing the green. This Father’s Day we all went to Stewart’s for that special treat for Dad. Surprise: Stewart’s does not give fathers a free ice cream cone. Well, I guess we now know where fathers belong on Stewart’s list of important people. JOSEPH KACZYNSKI Schenectady
Well, that's a good point! Although with artificial insemination, they probably figure that there really isn't a need for actual, human, airbreathing men any longer! They are available in 'small deep freezers' all over th country!!!

It just means there is never anything that celebrates being a bonafide father in society........most things are for MOM.....and the reason I say this is because MOM gets more visits in the nursing home than DAD........just and observation.......
society is 'weighted' toward the mother rather than the father.......hence no ice cream-----BUT----
their is always super bowl, daytona 500, world series etc.........just another observation.....
so THAT is why Glouchester and EVERYOTHER school with a 'pregnancy problem' has an 'issue'..........
