Bumble there are how many parcels in Rotterdam???  12,000 or 13,000  Sure there were errors, nobody is perfect and I don't think Macejka ever thought he or his staff or GAR were.  But your rationale reeks of a personal vendetta and lacks any vision of a rational and fair minded person.  I pity your soul for your obvious hatred for a man who did his job to the best of his ability.  Tsk, tsk, tsk!

Hey, Siggy got bounced after two terms, Paolino served two and I think when the time comes Steve T and the "boys" will be fighting for their political lives.  Time will tell.
I hope you are wrong PDQ, we don't need the loons back in power again. Just look at what the dysfunctional dictatorship has done to the city. Look at your tax dollar being sucked in to the Metroplex only to be given to their campaign contributors and family and friends. Kosiur is totally incompetent, loses the assembly election and the democratic loons create an $80,000 + job for him. YOURS AND MY tax dollar! We are already the 8th highest taxed municipality in the country. The looney dems have GOT TO GO!!

Come on PDQ, get your head out of your democratic a** and look around!!

[quote=153.  I pity your soul for your obvious hatred for a man who did his job to the best of his ability.  Tsk, tsk, tsk![/quote]Well his best just wasn't good enough. He never even 'tried'. He just blew you off! Macejaka had a cake job. He slid by as long as the dems were in power.

Landslide is when you have an overwhelming mandate from a MAJORITY of all enrolled voters.  Steve T. totals were alarmingly low for an incumbent who had everthing going his way because of the re-val windfall.  Sure the Dems have thier work cut out for them but Rotterdam has been a traditionally Democtartic Town and I think its safe to say it is an attainable election next time out.

Hey, Siggy got bounced after two terms, Paolino served two and I think when the time comes Steve T and the "boys" will be fighting for their political lives.  Time will tell.

Of the 8077 votes cast in the election, Tommasone won 53% of them while Cooke recieved 42%, and 5% were left blank.  Pretty good margin of victory.  If this is a Democrat town, what's that say about their pathetic turn out in last election.  With all the mailers and smearing.   The democrats could only motivate 3700 votes for Mr. Cooke.  I don't think the Democrats sent out a mailer which listed a platform of any new bold ideas for the town.

The Democrats had no ideas or proposals, just bomb throwing and mudslinging.  And I must admit, PDQ, your pretty good at that.

Your so funny bumble.  So now the new assessor has a cake job from the Reps with more money then macejka ever got, can tell the residents he can't do anything about their assessments because the re-val is a done deal.....lives in another county....probably has no clue where streets are and whose who when it comes to residents....  My side hurts from laughing so hard.  Good one bumble.

I guess that means we can never employ a cop in Rotterdam unless he/she is from Rotterdam since they won't have a clue where the streets are when a call comes in. PULLLLEEEEEZZZZZZ!
Maybe mobil is correct about the level of your education.

Two years in a row Macejaka's office failed to file my star application, and I had to prompt his office to mail it the first year.  And the first one I filled out was filled out right in the Assessors office and handed it in personally. After waiting 2 months for the STAR correction and a refund, I decided to go down to the assessors and  question why.   I was informed that the STAR form was still sitting in the file and was never mailed out.  INCOMPETENCE.  I also thought his organizational and interpersonal skills weren't up to the level for that position.

Hopefully the new Assessor will manage the office better than Macejaka.  He should be held to even a higher standard because the taxpayers are paying him more.

Cicero:

Then he should be fired along with the staff.  Take all the erasers off the pencils, get rid of the white out and call in the national guard.  Get a life the man had the weight of the world on his shoulders, worked long hours, was under staffed and underpaid.  I am one of many residents who liked the way Macejka handled himself throughout the re-val process.  John Mertz is a neighbor of mine and dealing with him is not something I would want to do on a daily basis so I can sympathize with the entire Assessor's Office staff.  Hey how about Mertz assessment??  Do you think he was happy with the re-val or Maceajka???  Still paying those big tax bills Mr. Mertz????

Filing a STAR application I would assume to be a fairly routine day to day task at the Assessors office.  I didn't think it was one of the more complex things that the Assessor was faced with.  Maybe I'm asking too much out of the Assessor.
