Hell...a park? How about doing something about those taxes some are paying in the junction? Some are beyond outrageous! I'm shocked that more people aren't filing article 78's!!  A park won't help lower the taxes out there. |

quality by my standard...you can have your Walmarts etc over on the east side...We need things of quality not just tax base....before you start...of course we need something to help the high taxes out here...I pay over 10,000.....I bet you dont. Well rounded community...come on ! |

Be careful what you wish for? Excluding the Jct, the rest of rotterdam has developments coming out of their a??!! Let me see now.....from walmart, to a gazillion MFH's, to railex, to the price chopper freezer, to fedex, to the heldeburg medows development, to condo's......and rotterdam's taxes, both property and school taxes continue to rise!!! Guess how that's working for those rotterdamians????? And you're looking for quality??? Forgetaboutit!! The metroplex, which brings with it Susan Savage, Judy Dagostino and the rest of the county vultures, are running the show now!. The BEST you will get is a gin mill or a non-profit!!! And they will jam it down your throats!! And your taxes will STILL go even HIGHER!!! I promise you this!!! |

but you have a choice as do I.....the town proper will become like the city.....and worse because there is no foundation for economic growth....IE: hamburg street and the likes.....this is MY idea of economic stimulus---build it and they will come, hand it out and there's sh!t to clean up.......NO PILOT, NO GRANTS ETC ETC.........nanny nanny nanny......well if you think park is value for your McMansion then it IS subjective....and 'the subjects' should be listened too not talked to by the electorate......we need to stop building subjective podium pucks and make REAL growth and stimulus...... |

Rotterdam Junction has been given a BOA Study Grant (brown fields oppurtunity) and we (the study
group that I am a part of) are looking at ways to rehabiliate some of the brownfield sites in that part
of Rotterdam. There will be public input forums and more news about this over the next few months. |

how can i get on that commitee ? we need to preserve the junction...as i have said before it is a jewel with the waterway bike trail history etc...we need to add to that....Parks... |

The brownfield study is only for Rotterdam Jct - the area between Route 103 and SI .. between the river and the Thruway. There are several including the old "Bonded Concrete site". |
