Carl Strang is concerned because "you can't find a decent park anywhere from five corners tot he end of Rotterdam".
All the west side is a park.
He should be concerned with infrustructure.
He better watch what he wishes for.

Well, there is a park...for now...with a run down bar and baseball fields that are about to get ripped up for big business to come in.

I hope the people on the west end will be happy with the new park but will be really complaining when they don't any water to use when the water tank fails. We need infrastructure not another useless park that no-one will use anyway.

I went down Curry Road today and traffic was backed up to where I was stopped in front of Memorial Park. I happened to look over and saw a whole THREE people there. Although I never see many more than that....if any at any given time. That park has been there forever. It is at best inadequet. So it has a basketball court...so do the schools and people's houses. And it has some swings...so do schools and people's houses. Come on people...get with the program here! People have parks not only at the schools, but in there own back yards. IT'S INFRUSTRUCTURE!!! That is what is needed. Rotterdam needs to focus on what it 'needs' and not what it 'wants'! Although I would still like to know how many west enders are really screaming for a park. Bet it's just a handful.

I don't think that we need another park either. If there is anyone on this site that thinks we should have a new park, would you mind telling me why that is so? I have never really heard anyone say that the town wants a park. But I think that they are thinking of putting one in the Junction. Does anyone know if the folks in the Junction want one too? Don't they need a water tower first?

It is nice to see businesses giving back to our community. That is one of the reasons why I try to support our local businesses. They do an outstanding job!

That is very nice and it is not done automatically through raised taxes and kept there only to find it lost in the shuffle over the years never to be recovered again by the tax payers

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Translation: It's very nice and it's not done through Metroplex or other County Level taxation.
